GBA Orbital - New Import

NCS Game Synopsis
«©NCSX» Nintendo's Bit Generations lineup seeks to approximate the look and feel of old school 8-bit gaming. For the most part, the games succeed in capturing the magic of the early 80s with diversions that feature exceedingly simple objectives and controls. As one conquers early levels, later stages scale higher in difficulty to challenge elite players and foil average gamers.

Gravity keeps the universe together like an invisible net that stretches across the wide expanse of the cosmos. Or so we've heard. Orbital puts gravity to the test where a spheroid floats through the ether and finds attraction to planetary bodies, planetoids, and other objects in space. The only controls in the game are two buttons - the A button to attract the spheroid to a body and the B button to repel.

NCS Game Notes
» Guide a luminous sphere through the galaxy while orbiting and avoiding red planetary bodies that exert gravitational pull on all bodies in their vicinity. Some bodies have satellites that revolve around them and distant stars serve as backgrounds in an otherwise sparse black backdrop. Little spheres may be picked up along the way which orbit your own sphere. Life ends when your spheroid crashes into a red body and gets crushed. Players grow ever larger by absorbing blue and white colored bodies.

» When you're caught in the gravitational pull of a red body, your sphere will rotate around it along the track located around the body. To escape, roll with it until you can repel off orbit as the rotation hits a tangential target level into space.

» At the outset of the game, only one galaxy may be played - the one on the upper left corner of the screen. There are six galaxies in total. Although there are 5 stages in the first galaxy, only one may be played and the others are unlocked after progressively finishing each one.

» As mentioned earlier, only two controls used in the game - the A and B button. The D-pad does nothing. The A button is used to attract the sphere to a body while the B button repels. As the sphere flows through the galaxy, use the laws of gravity to push and pull through heavenly bodies and pick up various spheroids that make your sphere larger. It's also possible to attract smaller sphere bodies and they'll orbit your sphere instead of being absorbed.
