Product Synopsis

Another
member of the animal kingdom finds representation in
Sega's Caltoy brand - turtles
in plush
form
with bright colorful shells and simple faces that
are reminiscent of a two-eyed potato. Measuring a
mighty 43cm (16.92") and practically circular on
top, the plushes are fairly large and sort of look
like turtles. The rimmed shell that covers the
creature's entire body is the giveaway along with
the slowpoke demeanor...
Similar to the "fur" of the
Caltoy pig plush,
each turtle is satiny smooth and soft to the touch.
The texture of the shell feels like a sheet of
velvet with fine tufts of plush material. Despite
being so big, each plush is light enough to be
lifted by a child or a munchkin without much strain
or effort.
Obligatory Anecdote
Turtles
have a reputation for being slow but in our
experience, they can run quickly or swim briskly
when the occasion calls. For example, when turtles
that are basking under a heat lamp are startled by a
loud sound, they can hurtle themselves off an
artificial log like green-shelled missiles. Turtles
are also known for their longevity. We've had one
turtle for over 20 years and it doesn't look a day
over 19. It still swims up a storm and observes our
daily operations from a distance like a hawk.
Shipping Advisement
All preorders for the Caltoy UJ Turtles will ship
today and new orders are welcome. Please note that
the Caltoy UJ Turtle is a dimensional weight item of
8 lbs. Due to the girth of each Caltoy turtle plush,
NCS recommends only shipping with UPS Ground within
the USA. For our international customers, we
recommend USPS Airmail Parcel Post + insurance. We
advise against shipping with any UPS or Fedex air
service as it will incur onerous shipping charges.

Each turtle has a bit of rouge applied to the cheek area. |

The shell covers the turtle's body like living
armor to protect it against predators. |

A close-up of the rim of the shell. Furry and
soft. |

The orange-shelled turtle variant could be
mistaken for a misshapen pumpkin |

We're thinking about drawing downward-facing
eyebrows on our turtles to make them look more imposing and less innocent.
|

Nice swirl effect on the super-soft to the
touch shell |

NCS kept one of each turtle and we named this
one Peachy |

Each turtle has four legs and a tail like a
real turtle |

This is one of the turtle's legs but in our
humble opinion, it looks more like a hoof |

A furry turtle tail pokes out from the back of
each animal beneath the top shell |
