Teams of tinkering robot creators aspire to
win the Robo-X Tournament which pits rudimentary
robots against each other in primitive battling
action. The player takes control of Team Alexander
and battles through the ranks to take the trophy
while honing and improving a robot with better
attack moves, maneuvers, and attributes. The game
features a total of 282 parts which are broken up
into five segments as follows: 62 body types, 61
kinds of arms, 62 legs, and 82 heads. For decorative
purposes, 15 emblems are available.
More ambitious than most D3 Publisher games,
The Robot Tsuku Rouze! features an anime cast of
characters, voice acting, and chapters which tell a
fairly involved story. The action-adventure features
46 battles which are broken up in chapters that take
place over the course of 46 weeks. A team member is
designated a task each week such as producing a
robot part, developing software, repairs, part
improvement, and research. An early robot can
basically walk and perform simple attacks such as
punch and power-punch. As the robot scales up with
better parts and techniques, new attacks such as a
swinging punch, double barreled blows, and exotic
moves may be performed to dominate opponents.
