«©NCSX» The demure Yuuki looks like a normal maid with a prim dress and professional housecleaning demeanor. However, when she's not dusting the cabinetry or polishing the appliances, Yuuki raises up the gun and defends her master from diminutive maid robots.

   As the proper story begins, Yuuki greets her young master in front of his grandfather's villa on a bright and sunny day. Despite the cheerful hello, not all is well as robots who look like super-deformed interpretations of Yuuki have invaded the estate and are on the attack. To add to the drama, a sexy blonde maid has also arrived to kidnap the young master. That won't do. Armed with powerful firearms, Yuuki plays the part of bodyguard who shoots, snipes, and swings a sword to dispatch her foes.
   The bulk of the game is made up of levels where Yuuki roams around a level and blasts away at her enemies with conventional weapons. There are also special levels where she plays the part of a sniper or a speed racer chasing enemies on the run. As stages are cleared and points awarded, weapons may be upgraded to higher levels of performance. Mini-games and new clothes may be unlocked as well. «NCS Game Notes»

«©NCSX» The first two volumes of Kamaitachi no Yoru sold a total of 1.7 million copies in Japan. With such impressive numbers, Sega and Chun Soft release a third game in the series which takes place one year after the events of Kamaitachi no Yoru 2 where Toru and Mari had to find a way off Mikazuki Island.
   In the new Kamaitachi game, Toru Yajima and Mari Kobayashi reprise their roles and return to Mikazuki Island. The pair stay at the cursed "prison" mansion once again and are joined by a cast of characters including Yosuke Mikimoto, Toshio Kubota, Seiichi Kayama, Keiko Kitano and a woman named Haruko. A murder mystery is afoot where gamers go through the story from the viewpoint of four characters who look at events from different perspectives (both literally and figuratively) in order to deduce the identity of the killer. Seiichi Kayama, a portly middle-aged gentleman is the initial protagonist.

   The latest Growlanser breaks from previous games in the series and presents the world in full blown 3D instead of the 2D representations found in every game since the first Grownlanser. Series artist Satoshi Urushihara reprises his role as illustrator and provides both character portraits and animation cinemas for the new adventure. Although the game is played in a 3D environment, ample amounts of Urushihara artwork are on display as the characters interact and explore the world.
   As the story opens up, three great powers are at a ceasefire but hostilities are still simmering underneath the surface. In addition to the potential for all-out war to resume, creatures from the sea have been attacking the people. To ensure that the truce is maintained between principalities, a peacekeeping force is established to corral any conflicts. Protagonist Zeonsilt (aka Zeon Schildt) is a member of the force and ventures forth to investigate the attacks by the sea creatures as well as help to maintain order in the world.
