Game Synopsis

After being addicted to Sudoku, NCS staffers are now
hooked on Kakuro. Similar in presentation to a
Crossword puzzle but using numbers instead of
letters, Kakuro is simple to learn but ponderous to
master. In Puzzle Series Kakuro, over 300 puzzles
are collected with play boards which measure "5×5,"
"7×7," "9×9," "11×11," "11×19," and "13×21" in size.
Gist: Color and white squares are
arranged like a crossword. On some color
squares, a slash bisects it diagonally and numbers
appear inside either portion. A number in the top
portion refers to the
total of the white squares across from it. A number is located on the lower portion represents the total of the white
squares below it. For example, if a color square
shows the number "5" on the lower half and is above
two white squares, the possible numbers that may be
entered into the white squares are:
1+4
2+3
Using logical inference and addition skills, players fill in the squares
bit by bit until the entire puzzle is solved.
Numbers may be written freehand on the touch screen
and the game screens may be customized for both
left-handed players and right-handed players to play
comfortably.
Kakuro Rules
The same number cannot appear twice in any single row or column
