The
Case of the Food Dropper
Someone in our office building is dropping food out of a
window. We've seen meatballs, cupcakes, bread, and
gelatin-like things. When food is dropped, Mother
Nature's little helpers generally find ways to
dispose of it. This morning as we drove up the ramp
to the garage, a gang of birds were feasting on a
dropped cupcake laden with trans fats,
unpronounceable ingredients, and sugar. We watched
as the birds huddled around the "food" and ate,
chirped, roosted, and hopped around. We allowed them
a few minutes to get a bellyful before rolling
closer and parking the vehicle as they all flew
away.
