«©NCSX» When Domokun makes a mess preparing his favorite meal of beef and spuds, a sponge might come in handy to mop up the splatters. To this end, Japanese manufacturer Eikoh has started preorders for three absorbent sponges that could double as cell phone straps or plain old plushes. Each sponge measures 10cm or roughly 4" square. From the left of the photo and going right, the characters are: Ta-chan, Domokun, and Usaji. Pricing is set at US$6.50 each and preorders will ship in mid-late December.

«©NCSX» Way back in 1984, Nintendo by way of Miyamoto caught Pac-Man fever and released a clone called Devil World. In the game, players controlled a dragon named Tamagon who ran around a maze and gobbled up dots. To celebrate the 22nd anniversary of the relatively obscure release, Tomy has started preorders for DOTs renditions of Tamagon - an original green version and the 2nd player red variant from the game. Preorders are welcome to ship in mid-late December 2006 at US$9.00 each.

   Hello Kitty finds herself bedecked in four types of yukata, a summer kimono that is made of lightweight cotton. A different hair bow and obi sash also adorn each version of Hello Kitty to further distinguish one from the other. Although the kimonos and the bows are different, every kitty features the same old feline face that has delighted children and adults alike for decades. Preorders are scheduled to ship in mid-late December 2006 at US$10.50 per plush.
