«©NCSX» A Japanese quiz competition game where three aspiring idols named Ayumi, Kaori, and Misako answer questions from categories such as music, television, movies, food, sports, mathematics, science, animation, games, and literature. A contestant is allowed 12 seconds to answer each question before being razzed. A total of 10,000 questions are featured in the game and players may enjoy a Story Mode, a Fighting Mode, and a 2-player VS Mode. In addition to the question and answer interplay, mini-games may also be enjoyed including a dancing game where arrows are tapped on the touch screen, a gravure idol photo session, and an idol running game where a gal escapes from reporters trying to get a scoop.

«©NCSX» In the wilds of the arctic, seals are stout of heart and peer out at the world from whiskered faces. Nearly crippled on land with only flippers to waddle around in, seals become twirling maestros once they hit the water. To celebrate the loveliness that is the seal, Sega's Caltoy unit has announced renditions of seals in two varieties. The white seal might be a harp seal while the pink seal may be leucistic or lacking pigmentation. Preorders are welcome today to ship on or around December 21, 2006. Pricing is set at US$49 and NCS recommends shipping only with UPS Ground within the USA for the most economical carriage cost.

 NEWS Domestic Outlook - Arrivals on Tuesday-Wednesday
   Despite the iffy reaction towards the Japanese version of FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus earlier this year, the USA version of the game leads U.S. export preorders this week. X360 Ninety Nine Nights lags a distant second.

Melty Blood Act Cadenza Tomorrow
 «©NCSX» All preorders for Melty Blood: Act Cadenza will ship on August 15 when our shipments arrive. The word "blood" (which is a reddish liquid) on the package manifest may have caused some alarm during package clearance and the airport madness of last week. Please note that we are pre-sold out of the first batch to preorders but a new batch of the game should arrive by the end of the week (around August 18) for new orders.
Japan on Holiday This Week
   Many of our suppliers in Japan are taking their summer vacation from August 12 through August 17. NCS does not expect any new imports to arrive this week from Japan but we may be able to stock the new Xbox 360 Sengoku Musou 2 from our suppliers in Hong Kong if an Asian version is released. No other new import releases are scheduled for this week.
The Case of the Food Dropper
   Someone in our office building is dropping food out of a window. We've seen meatballs with tomato sauce, cupcakes, bread, and gelatin. When food is dropped, Mother Nature's little helpers generally find ways to dispose of it efficiently. As we drove up the ramp to the garage this morning, a gang of house sparrows were feasting on a dropped cupcake laden with trans fats, engineered ingredients, and sugar. We watched as the birds huddled around the food and ate, chirped, roosted, and hopped around. We allowed them a few minutes to get a bellyful before rolling closer and parking the vehicle as they all flew away. View larger photos of the dropped-food eaters.
