PS2 Melty Blood Act Cadenza - New Import, Shipping Today
«©NCSX» The cast of Shingetsutan Tsukihime gather together and settle scores once and for all in a fast-paced 2D fighting game. Originally released on the PC in December of 2002 and made into a Naomi-based arcade game in 2004, the PS2 version is based on the coin-op release with new modes and customizable options. Players may set the Game Balance option from Arcade to Original mode which affects fighter recovery time, damage, etc.

Melty Blood Act Cadenza plays a fierce fighting game with a cast of 20 fighters who all wield magic and in the case of Nrvnqsr Chaos, rabid animals that strike out from various parts of his body. A Magic Circuit gauge for each fighter builds up with every contact hit and allows the ignition of special attacks as well as the ability to go into powerful attack modes. Fighters may perform cancels, guard against attacks, double jump for air, chain attacks together, and conclude a monstrous attack sequence with a mighty magic blast. The action flows in fluid motion with responsive controls and a refined game system which allows a skilled fighter to perform special attacks and link them together in a frenzied ballet of destruction. In other words, it's everything a fighting game fan could want. «NCS Game Notes»

Winged pretzel eater

NEWS The Case of the Food Dropper - Part II
Hungry house sparrows were noshing on bits of cupcake yesterday morning, courtesy of the mysterious "Food Dropper" in our office building. As we rolled down the garage ramp on Monday afternoon, we saw that broken-up pretzels were on the lunch menu.
As the photos show, sparrows are beastly creatures that attempt to stuff entire pretzel chunks down their beaks. If a title had to be ascribed to the photos, "Hell-bent on Satisfying Hunger" might be apt. As mentioned in yesterday's Food Dropper, we've seen meat balls on the ground and we're curious if the birds will even attempt to eat meat or if it's too unpalatable.
