Originally released as three separate "Right Brain
Trainer" software products for the NDS, NEC
Interchannel gathers together all three software
titles and masters them on a single UMD. Developed
under the supervision of Makato Shichida, a Japanese
brain development researcher, the exercises included
in Shichida Shiki Training were designed to
stimulate the mind and stave off the rigors of
senescence as well as senility... even if you're a
teenager.
In the Concentration portion of the
game, players engage in 20-question exercises which
test the ability to discern mistakes or differences
in a sample. In addition to graphical exercises,
there's also tests which require the ability to read
Japanese in order to navigate through them. Five
levels of difficulty and an unlimited matrix of
question patterns allow for wide variety and
challenge.
In the Judgment portion of the game, players engage
in 20-question exercises which test the ability to
discern spatial relationships, linkages, and general
relationships between objects that are presented on
a playfield. Five levels of difficulty and an
unlimited matrix of question patterns allow for wide
variety and challenge.
In the Memory portion of the game, players engage in
20-question exercises which test the ability to
memorize number patterns, number differences, color
variances, faces, and names. Five levels of
difficulty and an unlimited matrix of question
patterns allow for wide variety and challenge.
