Game Synopsis
«©NCSX»
Five years have passed since Kojiroh Amagi and
Marina Houjou tackled the adventure that took them
to the Kingdom of Eldia as told in the original Eve
game. Kojiroh's still a detective with trademark
hair covering his eyes and Marina continues her work
as a national intelligence agent.
As the story in Eve: New Generation begins, Kojiroh Amagi is
walking home with groceries and a plant tucked in
his arms. His footsteps clack on the ground
accompanied by the sloshing of water as waves lap
the nearby shore. A bumblebee buzzes around him and
alights on the purple flowers on his plant. After
enjoying a smidgeon of nectar, the bee buzzes off
and causes Kojiroh to drop his bag of groceries.
There's a few pieces of fruit, tins of dog food, and
a lot of beer. Koji laments his clumsiness when a
girl steps into view and picks up one of the pieces
of fruit. Kojiroh addresses her and startles her
enough to make her drop the fruit into the water.
Before a proper conversation can start, a foreigner
steps into view and wedges himself between the girl
and Amagi. He then escorts the girl into a waiting
vehicle.
As he watches them leave, Kojiroh's phone rings and fellow gumshoe
Yayoi Katsuragi greets him with a case. Seems that a
girl has gone missing and she sends over an image of
the girl onto his cell phone screen. She's the same
girl that he encountered minutes earlier. Kojiroh wheels around,
drops his phone, and runs after the car. The vehicle
screeches away... right into some boxes on the
warehouse. Kojiroh runs up and takes the hand of the
girl and leads her away to safety...

Game Notes
» In the intro to the game, a girl whispers
followed by a photorealistic footage of a city from
the vantage point of a helicopter. Below, police
pull yellow "Do Not Cross" tape across a scene. In
the next sequence, a male in white clothing leaps
from above and sails through the air. The tattoo of
a dragon on the back of a girl is shown followed by
noisy images aboard a train, bumblebees scrambling,
digital screens, a body hung by the arms, a blue
eye, babies rotating in vitro, and an overhead view
of gritty city streets. Above those streets, a
sniper points at a target below, gunshots are fired
from a gun and their impact is shown on the side, a
watchtower shines its light. To conclude the intro,
images of Kojiroh and Marin appear for a millisecond
before the title screen appears. The intro was
created by Fabbrica and the opening theme is [Code
GENE] by A Bone.
» When options are shown on screen that point to the
left, up, and right, press the corresponding face
button direction to select it. For example, press
TRIANGLE for up, SQUARE for left, and CIRCLE for
right. The text "please detect" scrolls on the
bottom of the screen when these options are
available. The various actions allow Kojiroh to
interrogate someone, examine a scene for clues and
hints, and search for evidence.
» To save the game, push down on the L-analog and
the save dialogue pops up immediately. It's very
convenient and simple. Similarly, to load a game
from memory card, push down on the R-analog stick
and the LOAD option pops up.
» A parallel scenario that plays out in the game
involves Marina Houjou who witnesses a suicide. A
noticeable clue is the tattoo of a bumblebee on his
hand. Soon afterwards, Marina is accused of
complicity and the red haired agent must work to
prove her innocence.
NCS Introductory Scenario Rewrite
The date is August 9 and an image of a bridge and the city behind
it appears as night falls. The scene fades and the
camera focuses on Amagi who is walking home with a
bag of groceries and a potted plant tucked in his
arms which he carries like a bough. A bumblebee
buzzes around him attracted to the flowers on his
plant. It sits on the flower momentarily before
buzzing off. Clumsily, Amagi drops his bag and
spills its contents on the floor - there's lots of
beer, dog food, packaged goods, and a couple of
fruits.
Out of the darkness, a beautiful young woman steps into view and
picks up one of the fruits. Her long hair whips in
the night air and her frilly dress seems too
provincial for a modern metropolis. Amagi addresses
her and she drops the fruit into the water. Behind
her, a man in a brown suit and brown hair appears.
He steps between Amagi and the girl and eventually
escorts her to a waiting sedan. Amagi stares at a
check when his phone rings - on the line is a purple
haired girl in a burgundy colored vest named Yayoi
Katsuragi. She sends him an image of a missing girl
and the photo that comes through on the phone is of
the girl he just saw being escorted away.
He wheels around, drops his phone (but not the plant) and dashes
after the car but it motors away with a squeal
before crashing into some boxes on the wharf. He
gives the girl inside a hand out and they run while
being chased by goons. Amagi enters a warehouse
filled with mannequin parts and helps her avoid a
hail of bullets before hotwiring a boat and zooming
away. The thugs give chase on their own boat and
fire bullets but in a stroke of skill, Amagi crashes
his boat against the thug boat and escapes to safety
with his new charge. After the carnage, Kojiroh sits
on the wharf with his new friend watching the
wreckage burn out on the water.
The next morning, the police are at the area dredging up the
demolished boat with a crane. A dog scampers up to
investigate. After a bit of interaction, the dog's
owner walks up - an attractive woman with violet
eyes and brown hair who scoops the pup up in her
arms. The young girl that Kojiroh has rescued is
suffering from amnesia and the sleuth resolves to
help recover her lost memories.
