NCS Game Synopsis

Akane Motomiya returns to the world of Ryo in another Harukanaru Jikuu
game where the teenager interacts with a group of
male handlers and assists them in another conflict
against the Oni. At the outset of the adventure, a
half-breed member of the Oni named Sefuru appears
and challenges the Seiryuu. The boys dispatch his
quickly and send him on his way but he'll be back...
with reinforcements. The Harukanaru series diverges
from conventional romance games by mixing a fairly
substantial battle system with the interaction
scenarios where attacks and techniques are used to
beat back evil hordes of creatures.
In the first battle
scene of the game,
Minamoto no Yorihisa
(aka Seiryuu of Heaven) with his leopard print shawl
and Morimura Tenma in his muscle shirt battle a
spider with the face of a demon. Yorihisa attacks
with trademark volleys such as the Koufuuranjin
which is a wind blast and Tenma ignites Shouraigeki
where lightning strikes attack the target. The other
Seiryuu such as Inori, Suzaku of Heaven and
Nagareyama Shimon, Suzaku of Earth appear early in
the game but they're eventually joined by all of the
other familiar faces that fans have come to know in the Harukanaru series - Takamichi, Tomomasa, Eisen, and
Yasuaki who all have their own special attacks to
beat back adversity.

Game Notes
» In the intro to the game, a shimmering water scene
appears followed by a text-based prologue. Bubbles
float through every once in a while and ripples
appear on the surface of the water. Later, strange
shapes coalesce together to form letters which swirl
into the logo of the game.
» Press START and the following options appear

New Game..........Enter your stats and start

» Upon starting a new game, old Japanese artwork is
shown with cherry blossoms floating and the story
begins. Rain falls on pink flowers before the camera
pans out to take in a wider scene of ripples on a
body of water. Taira no Katsuzane in a kimono
appears followed by a Akane. The rain continues to
fall and an image of a bridge appears.
Minamoto no Yorihisa
appears in a leopard print shawl with a
purple kimono underneath along with Morimura
Tenma who wears a tank top and has a blue
tattoo of a sigil on his left arm.
» The dialogue in the game is voiced entirely by
actors and actresses.
» A total of 30 save slots may be saved per 8M
memory card and saves may be performed at any time
by pressing the TRIANGLE button and then moving the
cursor to the save option (it's the leftmost
option). Once there, highlight SAVE (it's the second
option) and press the "O-Button" again. Next choose
a save slot from the 30 available slots and press
"O" and then highlight the second option and press
"O" again.
» To view the dialogue that has passed, press the
START button and flip through the text of past
history.
» At the outset of the game, the good boys vanquish
an evil Oni boy named Sefuru and send him packing.
After his defeat, two boys named
Minamoto no Yorihisa
and Morimura Tenma enter a battle sequence
where they face off against a spider with the head
of a demon To attack, choose a boy and then select
an attack or use a technique and watch the animation
play out where Tenma yells, clasps his hands
together and calls lightning from above to strike
the spider. Minamoto attacks by his own volition and
takes damage from the spider. The HP of the spider
is shown on a data field on the top of the screen.
After a few attacks, the two heroes vanquish the
spider. In the next scene, all of the portraits of
the eight main heroes are shown.
