Originally released on the Playstation 2 last year,
Gainax updates the game with 30+ new events for the
little Princess of the game title to engage in.
A new fair-haired daughter wings her way into the
heart of a doting father who provides guidance and
scheduling for proper growth and refinement. The
game starts off when the daughter is 10 years old.
Poppy is not alone in raising the Princess however.
A helper named Cube provides general assistance and
fashion tips for the little girl to learn and
absorb.
The main game screen is broken up into data points
where the upper left corner shows the date and the
upper right lists the daughter's name, age, and
money. Below that, important data such as education
level, height, weight, and even measurements are
listed. Finally, the main action options are shown
(in English) which allows father to perform the
following actions:
STATUS - Check daughter's physical/mental
attributes and stats
TALK - Command daughter to perform an action
HEALTH - Check daughter's health regimen
ITEM - View daughter's inventory of clothing and
accessories
SHOP - Visit stores to procure goods and products
SYSTEM - Save data, load data, etc
SCHEDULE - View and/or plan upcoming activities for
the month
The daughter's stats will change depending on how
she applies herself to studying, working, and the
arts. For example, working will improve her strength
and vitality at the expense of her mental prowess.
If she studies all the time, her physical condition
will be sacrificed for brains. Daughter will change
and grow depending on how balanced her activities
are but her path will be decided once she reaches 18
years of age upon which time her profession is
chosen.
The daughter's stats are broken up into thirteen
different parameters which are gauged by little bars
as follows:
Strength
Intellect
Charm
Pride
Morality
Grace
Receptivity
Nature
Eminence
Military Arts
Grammar
Honor
Vitality
As the daughter grows from age 10 to 18, her
physical appearance will change from preteen (age
10-12) to teenager (age 13-15) to adult woman
(16-18). Although her face is generally the same as
before, it will become longer and sharper as she
grows older while her body also elongates.
Scheduling plays an important part of the game
where the daughter may study, indulge in combat
training, learn the ways of polite society, practice
magic, train in the fine arts, and also practice
grace and charm. All of the activities will affect
her sensibilities, manners, mind, and other
attributes which all contribute to her becoming a
productive member of society. There are 14
occupations that the daughter may grow into along
with some special professions that will result if
certain conditions are met. Some examples of her
professions include maid, house keeper, farmer,
waitress, stripper, bartender, casino dealer, and
others.
If your daughter becomes a stripper, you would
have broken Chris Rock's law of raising daughters -
"Keep her off the pole."
