2002, the Nintendo DS release of Gyakuten Saiban features a

The NDS version of Gyakuten Saiban adds
stylus poking functionality and microphone input to
the game for new wrinkles to the game play. The lawyer
is Ryuichi Naruhodou who's better known as Phoenix
Wright to stateside players. A challenging new
series of cases are available for Phoenix fans to
sleuth through and cross examine like true armchair
attorneys. Along with Phoenix, Maya Fey returns to
provide guidance and advice.
NCS Case Synopsis
Phoenix's rival Miles Edgeworth has disappeared after
the events of Gyakuten Saban and is presumed dead...
Case #1: The first case is titled, "The Lost
Turnabout" where a young policeman has been
murdered. On the sand next to the body is the name
of the officer's girlfriend, Mako Suzuki. Phoenix
has to try the case and determine if Mako was really
crazy enough to write her name next to the body of
her boyfriend... or is she being used as a patsy?
Case #2: The Reunion and the Turnabout. After
a nurse at a hospital kills 14 patients and dies
herself in a car accident, doctor Tetsurou Kirisaki
tries to convince the public to visit his hospital
again by performing a séance. His goal is to get the
spirit of the killer nurse to confess her crimes and
show that the hospital is safe once again. Maya Fey
is hired to conduct the séance but during the
ceremony, a gunshot sounds out. When the smoke
clears, Tetsurou Kirisaki is dead and Maya is
accused of murder.
Case #3: Turnabout Circus. When the
proprietor of a circus turns up dead, Phoenix is
called into action. A clown who witnessed the murder
claims that the killer rose up into the sky after
the dastardly deed and points his finger at a circus
magician named Max Galactic.
Case #4:
Farewell Turnabout. The
television show "Steel Samurai" is once again
visited by murder and "Ninja Nanja" who was played
by Isao Fujimino is dead. The current actor in the
Steel Samurai costume, Shingo Outorou, is accused of
murder. To add to the intrigue, Maya gets kidnapped
by a perpetrator who warns Phoenix to obtain a "not
guilty" judgment.

Court is back in
session as Capcom® today announced Phoenix Wright™:
Ace Attorney™ Justice For All for the Nintendo DS™.
The second game in the popular court room battle
series from Japan introduces four new cases
featuring new characters, plot twists and gameplay
features. Players resume the role of Phoenix Wright,
a defense attorney who must prove his client’s
innocence against the toughest of odds and most
ruthless of adversaries. Players must exercise their
legal prowess as they collect evidence, examine
witnesses, analyze testimonies and seek the truth to
ensure that justice prevails. The game is
characterized by its memorable characters, engaging
storylines and unique gameplay format, all presented
in a comical anime style. Capcom plans to release
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Justice For All across
North America in Q1 2007.
Phoenix Wright: Ace
Attorney Justice For All includes the following
features:
• Play from the
first person perspective through four shocking new
cases.
• Two distinct
gameplay segments:
» Investigation
phase – survey crime scenes, interview witnesses and
gather evidence that will be used in court.
» Court phase –
present findings from the investigation to support
your case, listen to testimonies, examine witnesses,
and determine what is fact from fiction so you can
prove your client’s innocence.
• New “Psyche-Lock”
feature – some witnesses may be keeping the truth
under tight lock and key (aka the “Psyche-Lock”
state), so in order to break them down, successfully
open up their Psyche-Locks with a series of correct
questions or catch them on their inconsistent
testimony.
• New life bar
represents Phoenix’s status in court – by presenting
incorrect evidence or following misguided attempts
to break Psyche-Locks, Phoenix’s life bar will go
down; the only way to regain this stat is to
successfully open a witness’s Psyche-Lock.
• Use the DS touch
screen to navigate the game’s interface and become
deeply involved in court room proceedings by using
the microphone to yell “Objection,” “Take that” and
more!
• Colorful cast of
characters include both new and familiar faces.
» Phoenix Wright –
the game’s main character who is a defense lawyer
with a keen sense for discerning fact from truth.
» Franziska von
Karma – the new D.A. and daughter of former
adversary, Manfred von Karma, is on the warpath to
take Phoenix down and avenge her father by any means
necessary.
» Maya Fey – having
honed her psychic powers, she is now a mystic of the Kurain Channeling Technique and will continue to be
a valuable ally for Phoenix in his trials
o Pearl Fey –
Maya’s cousin is an up and coming psychic herself
and looks up to her as a role model.
