NDS Minna no Curling DS - New Import, In Stock

NCS Game Synopsis
«©NCSX» The "sport" of Curling may be compared to bowling but instead of a ball and nine pins, the thrower shoves a flat-bottomed stone across a field of ice towards the vicinity of a target. Once thrown, teammates vigorously brush the path in front of the stone to guide it into the house. The intention is to affect the movement and spin of the stone by polishing the ice so that the stone glides into the intended area. Virtual curling follows the basic procedures of real curling and NDS gamers get to control everything from the launch of the stone to the brushing of the ice. A Training Mode gives players a chance to learn the steps of curling while an Information section gives up the rules and strategy.

NCS Game Notes
» The Japan Curling Association gave their stamp of approval to the game.

» The intro shows silhouettes of curlers in action and in lengthwise stances.

» At the outset, a short tutorial teachers players the techniques and intricacies of virtual curling.

» The game is played entirely through the stylus where a quick swishing movement upwards sends a curling gal upwards and releases the stone which drifts on the ice upwards. Once released, use the stylus to rub the ice to guide the slant and rolling motion of the stone across the ice.

Curl procedure
1) Tap a target area on the scope located on the upper portion of the screen and watch the camera rush downwards to the staging area. Next, set the power level on the gauge on the right side of the touch screen and tap on the button on the upper left corner of the screen. Select the spin orientation and then tap on the gal. She'll start moving upwards. Keep the stylus on her until the release threshold appears (it's the blue line before the three upward pointing arrows) and remove the stylus from the touch screen to let go. The projectile will then roll towards the goal line. Use the stylus to rub the ice and clear the way. If you accidentally hit the projectile with the stylus when its rolling, you'll get a brush foul.
