Step 1) Follow the photos below to remove the Xbox 360 faceplate.
Step 2) Remove the rubber stand indicated in the
photo below.
Step 3) Insert the XCM opening
tool into the square hole indicated below (position it close to the edge of
the hole and move the tool to the
right as shown in picture A.
In diagram B, the XCM opening tool is
used for removing the inside piece of the plastic lock. In diagram C,
insert the tool into the square hole to the right of the hole indicated in
photo A and turn the tool to the left.
Step 4) Plug the XCM opening tool into the base grille
and remove the right heat panel.
Step 5) Plug the XCM opening tool into the base grille to
take off the left heat panel.
Step 6) Remove the heat panels from the Xbox 360 as shown
below.
Step 7) Remove the warranty seal as shown below.
Step 8) Unplug the 4 buckles
Step 9) Plug the XCM opening tool into the indicated holes
in the photo below and push it hard to pry the top and bottom panels apart.
Step 10) Remove the casing of the Xbox 360 as shown below.
Step 11) Remove the DVD drive Eject button as shown below.
Step 12) As indicated by the arrows below, remove the 6 screws by using the Allen key
provided.
Step 13) Remove the tray face plate as shown below.
Step 14) Once you're done with the removal process, the case should look
like this:
