NDS Sangokushi Taisen DS - New Import, Restock Soon

NCS Game Synopsis
«©NCSX» Rotate the Nintendo DS 90° counterclockwise so that it's held like a book and command armies in theaters of war. Originally released in Japanese arcades in early 2005, Sega's Sangokushi Taisen DS is an action-packed strategy game that pits generals and their forces against opposing contingents. The coin-op game featured a unique control scheme where actual cards were used to move armies around the battlefield and marshal them against enemy forces and castles. The Nintendo DS game mimics the card manipulating action by using the stylus to point and drag army cards on the touch screen to command soldiers into battle. Archers that are positioned alongside a cavalry unit may launch arrows at approaching enemy soldiers to soften them up before the cavalry moves in for the kill.

NCS Game Notes
» There are nearly fifty lessons which may be checked out from the Training Option on the title screen. If you've never played the arcade version of Sangokushi Taisen, the lessons teach the basics of troop movement and strategic maneuvering. There are six categories of lessons which contain numerous short tutorials.

» A Gallery option on the main menu features 302 cards that may be checked out. Choose them on the touch screen and view them in all their vertical aspect glory on the left screen. The stats of each card may also be viewed by tapping the blue inspection bar on the top of the touch screen.

» When two generals clash, they'll engage in a one-on-one battle where they ride horses and sort of joust. To ignite the attack, tap the stylus on the screen as indicated by the cues and you'll do damage to the enemy rider.

» To defeat the enemy, roust his troops on the battlefield and then batter down the gates of his castle. It's important to marshal your troops and direct them against enemy forces in an intelligent and rational manner. Shuffling your forces into the heat of battle without any type of strategy will generally result in them being decimated by the enemy soldiers. Coordinate your troops properly and you'll become the terror of the Three Kingdoms. When you take over an enemy castle, your general will do a sort of battlefield dance with weapon swinging motion and what looks like toe-tapping.
