NDS Summon Night: Twin Edge - New Import, In Stock
NCS Game Synopsis
«©NCS» A lad named Aldo and a lassie known as Reha quest within a 2D overhead viewed action-adventure brimming with monsters, treasure, and fierce fighting action. Along their travels, they'll meet up with characters sympathetic to their cause such as the green-haired swordsman Nasl, the blue-maned Ain, a blonde gal named Lila, Tica the archer, and the glasses-wearing Murdin, among others.

The NDS touchpen is used for movement, attacks, and magic which may be launched at monsters or drawn to create temporary barriers that damage enemies when they draw near. There's a "Beast Making" feature where monsters are conjured up inside a jug and then used in battle. By depositing them into the battlefield, the monsters will fight alongside your crew of characters against a common enemy.

NCS Game Notes
»
At the outset of the game, players may choose either Aldo or Reha by tapping on their images in the character selection screen. A vocal acknowledgement from the chosen character sounds off and a name entry screen appears. You can keep the given name of either character or enter a new one in kana, hiragana, or English. You'll have to double confirm each choice by tapping on the "O" which was rather redundant...

»
To move, simply tap on a location on the touch screen and the hero will walk over. To attack, tap on a creature and hero automatically starts swinging and doesn't stop until the beast is dead. If you select Aldo as your protagonist, Reha joins him in the adventure and provides back-up support by way of magic attacks. Note however that the active character can be swapped out at any time by tapping on the other character's portrait.

» Aldo and Reha apparently have powerful magnetic properties. After destroying a monster, the treasure that explodes from its carcass is slowly drawn into the active hero which saves time during the course of the adventure.

» Snippets of voice acting are peppered throughout the adventure but in general, the dialogue inside the conversation bubbles stands alone and without speech accompaniment.

» Early in the game, a big tidal event separates Aldo from Reha so he'll have to go looking for her. They're not apart for long however and Aldo gives Reha a leaping hug when he sees her again.

» The icon-based menu system is fairly extensive so a short tutorial in the beginning of the adventure tutors players on the significance of each command.

» The adventure takes place on the touch screen while the top screen shows a local area map and portraits of the party members.

» Whenever Aldo levels up, all of his HP and SP gauges are filled to their maximum levels.

» To recover a bit of HP, eat a piece of fruit. Aldo starts off with 10 pieces of fruit but a lot more can be found by defeating monsters.

» Blue crystal shards serve as save points to store your progress to the game card.
