Game Synopsis
«©NCSX»
Aya can't sleep and she can't eat. All she can think
about are the zombies - an army of shuffling undead
that's on the rampage once again.
In previous OneechanBara games, players pressed
a button to slash out attacks while sitting on the
futon like a potato.
Nevermore.
Thanks to the
magic of the Nintendo Wii Remote, players get to swing
and thrust their arms like true action heroes to
chop zombie limbs and eviscerate undead bowels.
Movement is handled by way of the nunchuk but the
jumping and chopping are controlled through the
Wii Remote.
Players may select either Aya or Saki at the outset of the game and
then go through legions of zombie malcontents. When
surrounded by rambling corpses, simply swish the
Wii Remote in a left to right motion and Aya will swing
her blade in a wide arc which strikes everyone
within range. To perform an elevated downward slash,
press the "A" button and then swish the
Wii Remote to
watch Aya jump 'n attack like an aerial banshee. The
game is broken up into chapters with the first stage
ending once Aya enters a church which is infested
with undead.
Bonus Schwag
All orders for Oneechanbara
Revolution will ship with a bonus music CD titled
"Collect my Passion, Danger in Disguise..." which
contains 11 tracks of listening pleasure.

DECIDE / Return to mode selection screen
» Start a new STORY game and Aya appears on screen
gyrating in her usual style. You can also choose
Saki by moving the Analog thumbstick to the left or
right. There's a costume selector on the upper right
corner of the screen but the costumes are locked at
the outset of the game. Select Aya as your heroine
and she starts speaking and tells of her story and
her tribulations as a zombie slayer. Scrolling
Japanese text appears on screen so gamers can read
Aya's story while listening to the voice over.
» The game starts like many other Oneechan games
where Aya appears on a cobbled pathway and is
surrounded by lumbering undead. She holds a short
soliloquy before getting into the meat of the
moment.
» The nunchuk is used for movement while the Wii
Remote
controls the slashing action as well as the camera
(+ and - buttons). The "A" button jumps. Pushing
right on the Wii Remote's D-pad sends out a projectile
attack that does 4 hits worth of damage.
» Watching Aya work on a zombie is generally
entertaining especially if you're a fan of gore. The
first blow generally knocks off a limb while the
second strike lops off the undead's head. The third
blow is usually the kicker since the stroke is
enough to divide the zombie's torso from its legs.
» With all the slashing that Aya does, her sword
gets clotted with blood as shown on the sword icon
to the left of the screen. When it's slimy with
gore, attacking a zombie will make it stick inside
the undead's body which then incapacitates Aya for a
short while as she struggles to remove the sword
from the monster's innards. To knock the clots off
the sword, press and hold the "B" button on the
Wii Remote and then swing it downwards. Aya will clean
off the blade with a swing which leaves a huge
blotch of blood on the ground.
» As Aya gets tired, she'll start panting audibly
and her posture will be less supermodel and more
geriatric.
» As Aya slashes, zombies will drop shining baubles
(points) that may be allocated to her SKILL,
VITALITY, POWER, and REACH which all improve her
battlefield prowess.
» A map on the upper right corner of the screen
shows Aya's current location and the whereabouts of
zombies.
» The game is broken up into chapters and at the end
of each level, Aya's experience is tallied up and
she'll level up accordingly. Each new chapter begins
with another voice over and an update on the
progress of the story.
