PSP Mugen Kairou - New Import, In Stock
NCS Game Synopsis
«©NCSX» Mugen Kairou takes the age-old adage of "Perception is Reality" to a whole new level with perspective puzzles that literally make perception reality. By using the d-pad or the analog nub of the PSP, players rotate, pivot, and adjust the view of simple constructs that are crafted from straight lines. Each level consists of a structure such as a convoluted walkway attached to a staircase upon which a humanoid wanders.
Before the proper game begins, some exercises show the five laws of the world of Mugen Kairou (aka Echochrome) as follows:

1. Perspective Traveling - Change the perspective and clear the path - what you see becomes the truth.
2. Perspective Landing - The character will land on whatever appears to be below his present location.
3. Perspective Existence - If there is a gap between two paths, blocking the gap from view basically erases it.
4. Perspective Absence - Hide the obstruction from view and it no longer exists and won't serve as an obstacle any more.
5. Perspective Jump - Where you want to jump is up to you by positioning the ledge or precipice above the character.

By moving the structure on each level, simple and not-so-simple objectives are accomplished and conquered.

NCS Game Notes
» There are three game categories featured in Mugen Kairou as follows

Solo - clear the levels by encountering all echos - use laws to create a path.
Pair - objective is to have the same colored characters touch
Others - same as solo but opponents appear on the level

» When we first booted up Mugen Kairo, we assumed the actions and situations were static but this is not the case. For example, if a character falls through a black hole and your positioning of the ledge below was a little off, you can rotate the structure while the character is in mid-fall so that he does hit something solid instead of falling through free space. This is also the case with the "springboards" that look like white circles which launch a character upwards. Once in mid-air, you can rotate the structure as needed so that he lands where you want him to land.

» The "Canvas" option allows players to create their own perspective puzzles and test play them while they're being built. You can also give it a title and save it to memory stick duo.

» To view the available puzzles, go to the "box" option and a total of 96 puzzles may be played in "solo," "pair," or "others" modes. An additional 48 puzzles may be unlocked by meeting certain conditions.

» When a pathway is "connected" thanks to the perspective change, there will no longer be a seam and the pathway will appear contiguous

» To speed up the walker, press the X button.
