NDS Ken to Mahou to Gakuen Mono - New Import, In Stock

NCS Game Synopsis
«©NCSX» Old school dungeon crawling makes a return on the PSP this week in Acquire's Ken to Mahou to Gakuen Mono. The design of the game is largely based on the original Wizardry engine where various shops and areas in town may be visited by simply choosing them from a menu. Custom character creation (100 slots available) is an option but a number of pre-made archetypes are available for induction into your party. Once your crew is either generated or selected from the available roster, it's time to head into either of two dungeons underneath the first town that the game begins in.

Similar to the dungeon-exploration games of old, the walls of each labyrinth scroll past the screen with every step that the party takes. Most encounters are random and literally pop out of nowhere since conflicts in dungeons tend to be random affairs. When going through the corridors, a pair of swords floating in mid-air marks an unavoidable encounter which must be fought in order to gain passage to the other side. Attacks are chosen from a menu and each character takes a turn when the party faces off against a group of bats or skull-monsters. If the battle isn't going your way, there's always the option of escaping and monsters will occasionally take advantage of the flee instinct as well. Bumping into a wall will cause the party members to scream in pain if you want a cheap chuckle. The movement inside the dungeons is brisk and reminded us of games such as the aforementioned Wizardry, Bard's Tale, and Dungeon Master.

Bonus Schwag
All orders will ship with a bonus rigid plastic placard that features two of the pre-made characters from the game - a blonde Elf girl and a female Felpurr. The flipside of the placard shows the cast of characters in monotone.
