Goku and Vegeta lead the cast of DBZ into battle
once again with a new 3D fighting game installment
for the Playstation 3. Burst Limit follows in the
footsteps of previous DBZ games where saiyan fly,
soar through the sky, thrust earthward, and commence
attacks on the ground or from the air.
New to the DBZ histrionics are "drama" events which
are animated cut-scenes that are spliced right into
the fighting action for seamless theatrics during
the heat of battle. The use of bonus "drama pieces"
also add to the fireworks. There's also a charge-up
gauge dubbed the "Aura Spark" where a saiyan becomes
a better being with more power, speed, and moxie. An
online mode allows fighters across the globe to link
up and battle each other.
Every copy of the Asian version of DBZ: BL
includes a bonus booklet and a toy figure.
NCS Game Notes
» Either the D-Pad or Analog Stick may be used for
movement. The button commands are as follows:
Square - Rush Attack
Triangle - Smash Attack
Cross - Block
Circle - Ki Blast
L1-Trigger - Activate Aura Spark
L2-Trigger - Blow-Away Attack
R1-Trigger - Transform
R2-Trigger - Pursuit
» A number of special moves are available by
pressing button combinations. For example, to
execute the Mega-Crush attack, press the R2-Trigger
and Circle. To taunt your opponent, press Triangle +
Cross.
» The game keeps track of the damage impacted by
each attack. Hit combos are also shown onscreen.
