«©NCSX» In the Kinnikuman universe, Warsman is a robotic wrestler who looks menacing and sort of devilish... in a killer-football-player kind of way. Warsman's weapon of choice is a pair of Bear Claws which are thick spikes which protrude from his robotic knuckles. In the Kinnikuman animated series, Warsman can be seen smashing opponents with the spikes and causing a mess of things.
   Japanese manufacturer CCP has started preorders for a 1/1 scale version of Warsman's Bear Claw which measures 28cm or 11.02" in length and is constructed of PVC. Preorders are welcome to ship in mid-late Feb 2009 at JPY6800 or US$75.90 from NCS.

«©NCSX» The heroes of Dynasty Warriors are generally tall, lanky, and well proportioned specimens of the human species. That all changes with CafeReo's upcoming Dynasty Warriors 6 Mini-Figures which feature twelve super-deformed generals and heroes from the popular game.

   Each figure measures a mere 5cm or 1.96" in height and sports a larger than normal noggin. A circular disc is included with each figure for display purposes. Many of the Sangoku Musou munchkins wield weapons per their normal operating procedures. Reservations are welcome to ship in mid-late January 2009 at JPY6000 or US$69.90 per box of 12 figures.

«©NCSX» After being delayed for over a year, the Valkyrie Profile Sculpture Arts: Lenneth figure was released a few days ago and our shipments are on the way. We'll update everyone once they're in stock.

   Classic Norse mythology (or a bastardization thereof) re-entered popular culture in 1999 with the Japanese release of Valkyrie Profile on the Playstation. The game sold well and we figured that was that. Countless games come and go and die, never to be seen again. Fast forward nearly a decade later and Valkyrie Profile is still steeped in today’s gaming culture with games and toys. Kotobukiya adds another toy to the Valkyrie Profile ranks which was originally slated for October 2007.

   When built and assembled together, the Lenneth sculpture measures 43cm or 16.92″ in height and nearly half that in width. Pricing is set at JPY55000 or US$425 from NCS. Pricing takes into account the air express carriage cost to import an item of this dimension into the USA from Japan. Preorders are welcome but NCS recommends only shipping this item within the USA with UPS Ground to avoid incurring onerous shipping charges.

   Peter Berg (THE KINGDOM, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS) directs this story of a reluctant superhero, John Hancock (Will Smith). Like the best superheroes, Hancock can fly, is bulletproof, and has insurmountable strength. He uses these gifts to fight crime in Los Angeles and save people in distress, Unfortunately, he also is a drunk who leaves a trail of costly destruction behind during his lifesaving pursuits, and his constant sarcasm fails to win him friends. But after Hancock randomly saves his life, public relations executive Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman) decides to give him a makeover and help the superhero change his image so that the police and citizens of Los Angeles will realize how much they need their seemingly inappropriate hero. All the while, Ray's wife, Mary (Charlize Theron)--who seems to simultaneously have a strange connection and aversion to Hancock--worries that her do-gooder husband will end up disappointed by Hancock's antics. The special effects are quite impressive, as Hancock flies through Los Angeles crashing into buildings, bursting through freeway signs, and flipping automobiles around as if they were wet noodles. Smith evokes a depth and warmth in Hancock; even when he's unpleasant and anti-social, it's clear that there is more to him. DVD this week, Blu-Ray next week.

   Irene (Audrey Tautou) is an attractive thirty-something woman who lives a comfortable life by taking up with older and very wealthy men. Irene is serving as arm candy for Jacques (Vernon Dobtcheff), who is twice her age and quite rich; Jacques takes Irene on a vacation to a resort in the French Riviera for her birthday, where she meets Jean (Gad Elmaleh), a handsome bartender at the hotel who works a variety of odd jobs to keep himself afloat. While Jacques spends Irene's birthday sound asleep, she ends up enjoying a romantic evening with Jean, until she discovers he's broke. A year later, Jacques and Irene return to the resort, and Jean discovers he still carries a torch for her. Irene is not so interested until Jacques decides he's had enough of her and breaks off their relationship; suddenly forced to fend for herself, Irene turns to Jean for help. Jean, meanwhile, has learned that Madeleine (Marie-Christine Adam), a handsome and very well-to-do widow in her sixties, has her eye on him and wishes to make Jean her kept man. Jean asks Irene to give him a crash course in the fine art of being a gigolo, while Irene tries to get back in the game by taking up with Gilles (Jacques Spieseer). Shooting Game Historica Vol. 3
 NEWS Yujin announces Shooting Game Historica Vol. 3 and others

«©NCSX» The third Shooting Game Historica set was announced overnight and we'll start preorders tomorrow. Yujin has only released a prototype sales sheet thus far but we'll update the image once we receive color images. Ships featured in the third set include the submarine from In the Hunt, the tank from Granada, and the mech from Wolf Fang. The S.O.Q- 004 Toryu from Soukyugurentai  is also featured in the set. To correct an earlier posting, it appears that only the Toryu will be produced. We'll clarify the full preorder details tomorrow since two ships from Raiden are also included in SGH Vol. 3.

   Also announced last night: Tatsunoko vs Capcom Little Heroes Keychains (Eight styles), SR Senjou no Valkyria Vol 2 Figures (Swimsuit version), and the Animal Crossing Projector Light. We'll post details for all four upcoming gashapon sets on Wednesday's website update.
