Wii Metroid Prime Wii Asobu JPN

Import Preorder: US$45.90

JAN Code: 4902370517637

Wii Metroid Prime: Wii de Asobu - Import Preorder

«©NCSX» NCS recalls the overbearing negativity surrounding Metroid Prime when it was first disclosed that the game would be a 3D first-person shooter. Fevered Metroid devotees cursed the House of Nintendo and vowed revenge for ruining the franchise. Remember, this was way before the game was even released and yet revenge was being plotted.
When Metroid Prime finally launched stateside in late 2002, NCS was prepared for the consumer backlash and the vitriol since there was no way the game could possibly be good. We waited. One day passed and then another. The backlash never came. Metroid Prime silenced the naysayers by being a worthy successor to its forebears and the gaming world was better for it.
Nintendo has already released three Gamecube remakes on the Wii and they've all been fine revamps. The Metroid Prime upgrade features Nunchuk and Wii Remote control where the nunchuk is used for Samus' movement and the remote manipulates an onscreen targeting cursor. Similar to all previous Wii de Asobu releases, the game is a complete revamp with updated graphics and sound. Preorders are welcome to ship on February 19, 2009 at JPY3619 or US$45.90 from NCS.

Wii Phantom Brave Wii JPN

Import Preorder: US$73.90

JAN Code: 4995506001520

Wii Phantom Brave Wii - Import Preorder

«©NCSX» On a small island located somewhere across the sea, there lives a young girl named Marone. Gifted with the ability to control phantoms, Marone earns her bread and butter by accepting missions from clients who contact her by way of bottled messages. Upon receiving a request for help, Marone gathers together a cadre of phantoms such as Ash - who's a mighty swordsman - and the group ventures forth on battles and various scenarios to make their money. Phantom Brave bears similarities to Disgaea and there's good reason for that - illustrator Takehito Harada is the character designer and Phantom Brave fits squarely into the strategy-RPG video gaming genre.

Phantom Brave was a hit on the Playstation 2 and Nippon Ichi is developing a Wii rendition that's scheduled to ship in March 2009. Exclusive features in the Wii game include new characters, new items and customizations, and a new scenario dubbed "Another Chapter Marone."

According to the preorder details, every copy of Phantom Brave Wii will ship with a bonus original soundtrack in 1:1 ratio. Reservations are welcome to ship on March 12, 2009 at JPY6800 or US$73.90 from NCS.

PS3 Musou Orochi Z JPN

Import Preorder: US$78.90

JAN Code: 4988615030987

 PS3 Musou Orochi Z - Import Preorder

«©NCSX» In the two Musou Orochi games from Koei, warriors from Sangoku Musou and Sengoku Musou joined together to battle a scaly lizard lord named Orochi. In the game, players took control of a team of warriors and their minions who then battled entire legions of enemy soldiers. Sales were pretty good and Koei had another franchise on their hands.
Musou Orochi Z for the Playstation 3 gathers together all of the stages from the earlier Musou Orochi games and throws in 12 new stages that were designed exclusively for the PS3 update. Two new characters and a comprehensive Dramatic Mode playable by every character are also featured in the game. Preorders are welcome to ship on March 12, 2009.

PS2 Trigger Heart Exelica JPN

Preorder Import: US$150.90/each

Jan Code: 4562168541512

PS2 Trigger Heart Exelica Enhanced LE - Import Preorder Update

«©NCSX» The Naomi arcade version of the Trigger Heart Exelica shooter was originally released in the Spring of 2006 to some fanfare from the fanbase. The Dreamcast edition followed up in early 2007 and over a year later, the Playstation 2 version completes the circle with an "Enhanced" game which includes a bonus Exelica Nendroid figure. We're not sure where Exelica's partner in crime, Cruel Tear, is but where's her Nendroid figure? Inquiring minds do wonder.

   The p
lay mechanics in THE are fairly routine where the gals blast away at their foes with standard vulcan shots and flit through vertical aspect stages. The wrinkle in the routine is something called the "Anchor Shot" which allows Exelica or Cruel Tear to tether an enemy ship. Once captured, the enemy vehicle may be launched like a projectile at other enemies for added scoring. An enemy ship may also be hooked and then used as a barrier against enemy shots. It's a new shmup technique to explore and revel in. Developer Warashi also touted the V.B.A.S. (Variable Boss Attack System) where end-level gargantuans change their attack patterns based on the skill of the player. Preorders are welcome to ship on March 26, 2009 at JPY12,800 or US$150.90 from NCS.

TOYS Persona 3 Fes: Metis JPN

New Import: US$73.90

JAN Code: 4582292600312

TOYS Persona 3 Fes: Metis 1/7 Scale Figure - In Stock

«©NCSX» In the early minutes of the Persona 3 Fes game on the Playstation 2, the android heroine of the adventure named Aegis encounters her new "bodyguard" named Metis. Dressed in tight leather and powerful, Metis is also an android who's on a mission to destroy the members of the Special Extracurricular Activities Club at Gekko High School. Aegis won't allow Metis to exterminate her friends so another solution is explored...

   Orchid Seed's (
Sakurako Ishinaga) interpretation of Metis measures 22cm or 8.67" tall and the figure is clad in a skintight body suit that's evocative of super-shiny pleather. A golden helmet sits on top of her head with the visor lifted up and Metis' limbs are non-articulated so she's strictly fixed-posed. Three additional faces are included in the packaging along with two weapon/rod accessories and a red display base. All preorders have shipped already and new orders are welcome to ship today.

SOTD Samurai Spirits Nakoruru Figure (Orange) - Clearance
Original Update: May 5, 2003
«©NCSX»
BPS sculpts two robust Nakoruru figures in a choice of orange or red trim colors. Nak measures 12" tall and aims a dagger at something or someone in the distance. The folds in her clothing, the waves in her hair and those baby blues are beautifully crafted and all contribute to the exceptional quality of this figure. The Nakoruru figure was a premium prize item that was used in UFO catcher machines. Since our inventory came direct from the manufacturer, a UFO catcher claw has never touched them.

Please note that only the orange trim version of Nakoruru is available. The red trim version sold out about a year ago.

Original: View the NCS update and product photos from 2003.
