Game Synopsis
«©NCSX»
Flight Plan's new PS2 RPG puts
players in the role of a godling named Alecseed or a
goddess dubbed Kiyora who
leads heroes into battle. The world has been plunged into
darkness and overrun by malcontents. To bring the
light back and banish the evil, the player-deity is
charged with controlling a party of adventurers who
have the skills and abilities to accomplish their
lofty goals.
Sacred Blaze is a 3D RPG
which features groups of adventurers who are
aligned on the side of Order and Chaos. The
principle of alignment affects the types of
characters that are available on each side of the
fence. Interpersonal relationships between the party
members are an important aspect of the game where
closely knit adventurers can perform collaborative attacks to wallop foes.
At the outset of the game, a god or goddess may be
chosen as the protagonist who then commands a small
cadre of soldiers against a similarly small squad of
enemy warriors. If playing as the goddess Kiyora, her
soldiers are eventually all disposed but a werewolf
named Goldwolf joins the players party soon
afterwards. Goldwolf can perform powerful slashing
attacks that are accompanied by snarling noises. If
playing as the godling Alecseed, his knights are
also
destroyed but a girl named Witch and her wee friend
Fairy join his party.

characters in serene scenes that are initially
devoid of conflict. Images of aggression and battle
soon replace the placid temperament of the early
scenes.
» The game begins amidst darkness and yellow
lettering. Press the "O" button when the cue appears
to move the game forward. At the outset, you may

morning.
» The sound of swords start off the next scene
followed by a feudal soldier who barks out dialogue.
We're in the land of Karasya and in the background, ruined
buildings litter the landscape and our goddess
appears afterwards. Her name is Kiyora and she
speaks to her soldiers and goads them into war.
» A battle starts afterwards where Kiyora and her
crew battle what appears to be a bunch of old men
wielding weapons that look like butcher knives on
top of a roof. Two Will 'O The Wisp creatures are
also on the side of the knife-armed geezers. A

chosen at the end of his turn. The "Guard" option
may also be chosen to defend against enemy attack
after each turn.
» After using an item during a turn, the character
will not be able to attack.
» Either the D-pad or L-Analog may be used to move
the cursor.
» The Will 'o The Wisp makes a monstrous growling
sound when it moves and when it dies.
» After the first battle on the roof, at least two
of your soldiers will level-up and a summary of the
items plundered from your enemies is shown in the
"Get Item" screen. Afterwards. a great purple demon
bursts from below the roof and confronts Kiyora and
her crew. Three soldiers leap up in concert to
attack but they're all smacked down by the demon.
Her general tries his luck against the demon but he
also gets destroyed. Soon, a tearful Kiyora laments
the loss of her soldiers and at that moment, a
shining light from the heavens envelopes her with
glorious light. She's now a goddess. The second battle ensues.
» Kiyora faces off the demon in a one-on-one
contest. Since she's imbued with heavenly power, she
has a new special attack that does 175 points worth
of damage on the demon. He starts the battle with
282 HP. If she survives the demon's next attack,
Kiyora can do
another megablast to defeat him. The only item won
from the demon is a healing potion. The battle is
followed by a short sequence where Kiyora hacks off
the demon's right arm before it jumps away.
» Voice acting accompanies the dialogue in the game.
* If you select the godling as your protagonist, you'll play a blonde-haired
oracle named Alecseed who begins his story in the
Kingdom of Orgen where he commands a trio of knights
against orcish hordes. After defeating the orcs, an
ice monster hurtles onto the battlefield and
destroys the knights but Alec remains. Since he
can't fight the monster by himself, heavenly light
pours from overhead and imbues him with godly power
with which to battle the ice beast and defeat it.
