«©NCSX» The new set of Senjou no Valkyria Figure Collection gashapon features the female soldiers of Senjou no Valkyria (aka Valkyria Chronicles in the USA) but instead of wearing regulation-issue combat fatigues, the girls are decked out in skimpy swimsuits. Five characters are featured in the set as follows:

» Alicia Melchiott - wears a white 2-piece bikini and appears joyful
» Selvaria Bles  - in black bikini with a knife strapped to her right thigh
» Brigitte "Rosie" Stark - orange one-piece with removable shades
» Asara Gunther -dressed in a purple smock with bikini bottom and hat
» Edie Nelson - Wears a removable t-shirt with aqua bikini underneath

   The figures measure 10cm or 3.93" tall and NCS is supplying them in complete sets of five at US$28.90 + shipping. Preorders for the "Valkyria Swimsuit" gashapon have shipped as of yesterday and we have a small surplus from a straggler shipment for new orders to ship today. «©NCSX» The slacker known as Shinji Ikari is sleeping late again when Asuka bellows for him to wake up or they'll be late for school. Rousing from his slumber like the undead, Shinji eventually musters up the energy to join a haughty Asuka in walking to class. On the way there, Ikari crashes into a new girl in town and the two clatter onto the sidewalk. Breakfast pastry on the floor. The girl suffers an unintended revelation and accuses Shinji of catching more than an eyeful. After some protestation by the meek Ikari, Asuka steps in and breaks up the commotion and they proceed to school.

   Essentially an alternate retelling of the Evangelion story, Girlfriend of Steel 2 presents the main characters of the immensely popular franchise in a new light. Asuka and Ikari are seemingly going steady and Rei Ayanami is more normal although her past is still mysterious. Light-hearted and free, the fledgling teenagers get a chance to be youthful and irresponsible without the shadow of NERV mongering over them... at least in the beginning. The game is played in interactive flick-screen motion where simple choices decide the path of story progression. The PSP version of the game features updated graphics, video output for the PSP-2000/3000, and an autosave feature.
   NCS is accepting preorders for a regular edition of the PSP Evangelion: Koutetsu no Girlfriend 2nd Portable as well as a limited edition which includes an Asuka Langley case and a Rei Ayanami lanyard. Preorders are welcome to ship on June 11, 2009.

   Our mentor won't approve of Genki's Manepa 1000-Mannin no FX Training which teaches average Japanese citizens how to trade currencies and potentially capitalize on cross-currency arbitrage. The NDS software features a forex trading simulator, a Story Mode which allows currency and commodity trading, and a testing mode for the SPI (General Aptitude Test). In the midst of adversity, Hiroto is offered a job to manage a new retail establishment that he has to staff with six workers. By performing well and interacting properly with his employees, Hiroto has a chance to redeem himself and show the world that he's not a complete failure. «©NCSX» NCS received the GA-KO Alarm Clock last year and it basically changed the way we looked at ducks. Once relegated in our envisioning to dull birds with bills that floated on water, GA-KO showed us that ducks and proper branding could capture the hearts of millions. Well, make that 2000 GA-KO-limited-edition-loving hearts.
   The diminutive Piyo-Chan isn't as edgy or active as GA-KO but he doesn't have to be. Piyo can just sit/stand there and stare out into the world with beady eyes and still capture a few hearts. The latest rendition of Piyo-Chan is the Piyo-Chan Gomu Miniature Mascot Strap from Eikoh which ships this summer. Five styles are on offer and all of them have little white angel wings on the back. Four of the Pi-Chan mascots measure roughly 3.0cm (1.18") tall while a larger variant clocks in at 4.50cm (1.77") tall. Preorders for the complete set of all five mascot straps are welcome to ship in Aug 2009.

BLU Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete LE
   Japanese distributors are shipping the FFVII AC Complete Blu-Ray tonight and NCS expects delivery on Thursday of this week. Please note however that the FFVII AC "Cloud Black" PS3 bundle may not be released to distribution until tomorrow night in Japan based on information from suppliers. If this is indeed the case, our shipments of the Cloud bundles will be delivered in New York on Friday of this week instead of Thursday. We'll know for sure by tonight and we'll post another update on Wednesday.
   The Final Fantasy XIII demo is included in both versions. We'll have a healthy surplus available and new orders for both products are welcome to ship this week once they're in stock. 
PS3 Demon's Souls Asian
   Distributors and vendors in Hong Kong will be returning from their Spring/Easter holiday tonight and we should have an update on the next batch of Demon's Souls (Asian Version) by tomorrow morning. We hope to clear out our entire backlog of orders soon.

«©NCSX» A couple of weeks after Nintendo's Mario Paint was released for the Super Famicom on July 14, 1992, a publisher known as Ape Inc shipped a special Mario Paint tutorial video for the Japanese market. The 30-minute video shows how to use the tools in the program, features a number of works that were created using Mario Paint, and even checks out the Mario Paint music program. In case you're wondering, the Yoshi image that appears on the cover was drafted in Mario Paint. Yoshi's shell is a little too flat but at least the green lizard is recognizable.

   NCS' remaining inventory of the Mario Paint video tape is in new and factory sealed condition but please note that the shrinkwrap may be scuffed somewhat due to roughly 17 years in storage. Most of our copies look good but please note that some of the cases have 1-2 cracks on the back (on the very bottom edge of the plastic). «Photo Gallery»
