«©NCSX» Few game series' nowadays have the staying power to endure for six volumes but Sony's Bleach Heat the Soul reaches that number this week. From the first Bleach HTS to the most recent one, the character roster has consistently grown, new game modes have been presented, and the game play has been refined with each successive release. Bleach HTS6 is a 3D fighting game that runs fast, fluid, and features a number of modes that include Soul Championship, Arcade Style, VS CPU, and a Story Mode that takes players through a Bleach tale that's specially tailored for the game.

   The sixth Bleach HTS game features a total of 74 characters for an ample amount of fighters to face off against. «©NCSX» The original Growlanser captivated Playstation gamers a decade ago and kicked off a series of sequels in the years since. To mark the 10th anniversary of the game, Atlus is releasing a Playstation Portable port which features two new heroines named Amelie (CV: Yukari Tamura) and a Featherian named Melfie (CV: Maho Tomita) with their respective new scenarios and new routes to take in the game. The graphics from the original game haven't been stretched to fit the PSP's widescreen but have instead been redrawn so everything looks natural instead of elongated.

   The game starts in the land of Rolandia where a lad named Carmaine is roused from his slumber by his "sister" Louise and a impish homunculus named Tippi who's a little bundle of energy with a powerful kick attack. They bring him downstairs to see the court sorceress Sandra who took Carmaine in when he was an orphan and raised him as her own. Sandra tells Carmaine of a disturbing prophecy that puts him in the position of either destroying the world or saving it from ruin. To discover his destiny, Sandra encourages him to venture out into the world (with Tippi in tow) to find his path and fulfill the prophecy.

   The distinctive artwork in Growlanser is by Satoshi Urushihara and the battle system is dubbed "Real-time Mission Clear" which features a mix of techniques including command selection, charging up, opportune timing of attacks, and the participation of other parties other than the hero's team and the enemy. «Screenshots»

«©NCSX» New and factory sealed Policenauts for the Japanese 3DO which is an adventure game from Hideo Kojima that was released back in 1995. By the time the game was released, the Lethal Weapon movie was already 8 years old and part of pop culture. If goaded into describing the game in 10 words or less, we might be tempted to call it "Futuristic Lethal Weapon, Hideo Kojima style." Let's face it, the protagonist Jonathan Ingram is the video game version of Mel Gibson's Martin Riggs and Ed Brown is the spitting image of Roger "I'm too old for this $#!^" Murtaugh. Character similarities aside, Policenauts follows the story of Jonathan after he returns from cryogenic sleep in outer space and works to uncover a growing mystery after witnessing the murder of his ex-wife who came to him for help in locating her missing husband.

   NCS' remaining inventory of Policenauts is brand spanking new, factory sealed, and in excellent condition. Please note however that there is a chance that the game disc may pop out of its spindle during shipping. All of the copies that we will be selling this week are secure and we don't hear anything sliding around inside.
