 «©NCSX» R2-D2 is accustomed to being pimped out in the name of merchandising and it was with amusement that we glanced at Heart Art Collection's new R2-D2 Desktop Trash Can. The company has already released a full-sized R2-D2 trash bin but this new one's a small and compact model that's suitable for a desk, a shelf, or maybe the top of the computer. A little foot pedal located on the lower-front of R2-D2 may be depressed to pop R2's lid. Heart Art's promotional flyer shows R2 being used as a planter but we think that's a poor use for the can. Preorders are welcome to ship in late September 2009 at JPY3800 or US$42.90 from NCS.

 «©NCSX» Kow Yokoyama's cult Maschinen Krieger ZbV 3000 property features armored machines which are gritty and somewhat believable in that they could probably exist if human military designers had mech-blueprints on their minds.
   The H.A.F.S. (Heavy Armored Fighting Suit) Super Jerry is a two-legged attacker which is armed with missile launchers and guns. Wave is releasing a 1/20 scale Super Jerry construction kit this November which we think looks great. The complexity of the Jerry's design should make the assembly and finishing process an all-day job. Preorders are welcome to ship in mid-late November 2009 at JPY5800 or US$63.90 from NCS.

There's a pink cushion with satiny covering which features girls inside bubbles and a green cushion which shows off a troupe of girls in a group shot. We've seen one mint condition Shelby in our travels through Long Island, New York which was probably restored at least once. Maybe twice. Good Smile Company celebrates the muscle-bound goodness of the Shelby with a 1/43 scale PVC recreation which measures 11cm or 4.33" in length and looks every bit the part of the classic vehicle with obligatory racing stripes.
