Synopsis

Enroll in the Ashford Academy and interact with the
student body in a new interactive adventure based on
the events from the first season of the Code Geass
animated series. At the outset of the game, the
Student Council President Millay Ashford and Lelouch
Lamperouge welcome the player-named protagonist and
introduce him to a series of characters. Lost Colors
is played like many other visual novels where
copious amounts of dialogue is read and the
occasional choice is made to fork the story in a new
direction. Early in the game, Kaname Ougi, Nina
Einstein, Leval Cardemond, and Millay provide much
of the interaction but other characters from the
animation also make an appearance in later chapters.
Karen Stadtfeld of the Black Knights enters the
storyline at the conclusion of chapter three.
Bandai recruited the production staff who worked on the animated
series to create new and exclusive material for the
game. The voice actors for the characters were also
hired to provide over 15,000 words and dialogue
snippets which are woven into the fabric of the
adventure. Lost Colors features over 20 different
endings so intrepid gamers can try different actions
and choices to reach all of them.
The "PSP the Best" version of Code Geass Lost Colors is a
discounted re-release of the original game. There
are no differences in game content but fans who
missed out on the original release get another
chance to buy.

Game
Notes
» Press
START on the title screen and the following
selections appear:
NEW GAME - Begin a new adventure.
LOAD GAME - Resume an adventure from saved data.
GALLERY - View 28 cinemas in the MOVIE GALLERY or
groups of images in the CG GALLERY. All items must
be unlocked.
CONFIG - Adjust the message speed, sound volumes,
graphic brightness, and toggle auto-save.
» Crafts & Meister developed the game for Bandai
» Start a new game and the prologue gives the
backdrop on the kingdom of Britannia, Area 11, and
Lelouch Lamperouge. An introductory cinema follows
which features the main characters of the animated
series. In the beginning of the cinema, there's no
conflict and serene images fill the screen but
towards the end, the Knightmare Frames enter and
hints of conflict appear.
» After the intro, the game begins with a dialogue
screen on the bottom and a close-up view of a
building at the Ashford Academy. The year is 2017
and a blonde in a miniskirt named Millay Ashford
appears along with Lelouch. A fairly lengthy
conversation ensues where the different characters
in the game are introduced. After the sequence, a
view of the Ashford campus appears in the background
with 10 hexagons superimposed on the image of the
screen. Within four of the hexagons are images of
locations that may be visited. Highlighting one will
show the characters who are present at that
location. Some hexagons show sub-locations that are
accessible. Once an area is visited, it'll disappear
or go dark again for a future sojourn if necessary.
Note that there are two screens worth of locations
to visit depending on the time of day. To access the
second page, press the trigger button to switch
over.
» The PSP and PS2 games are nearly identical - from
the boot screens to the cinematic introduction to
the announcer who pronounces the name of the game
when the title screen first appears. The one
difference is the PS2 version also includes a
"THEATER MODE" in the GALLERY section where you can
create your own Code Geass video presentations by
cobbling together gallery items (you'll have to
unlock them first) and storing them to memory card.
» Both versions of the game feature speech to
accompany the written dialogue that appears
throughout the adventure.
» To revisit any of the dialogue in the game, press
the "TRIANGLE" button and scroll through the script
of the game revealed thus far.
» If the AUTOSAVE function is toggled on, your
progress will automatically be saved to memory card
after each interactive sequence.
» During conversations, there will be occasions
where you'll select one of two choices by pressing
the "TRIANGLE" or "X" button. Your choice will
affect how the game proceeds.
