«©NCSX» Battle Spirits is a trading card game from Bandai which features three types of cards that provide all of the interaction and events in a match. There's Spirit cards, Nexus cards, and Spell cards which are built into decks so that players battle other players by flipping cards and using them appropriately as the match progresses. Bandai adapts the Battle Spirits card game onto the Nintendo DS with an able simulator which houses 1,000 cards from the debut of the game in September 2008 all the way up to cards that are being marketed in August 2010. In addition to solo play, gamers can hook up wirelessly by way of Wi-Fi connection.

  The first printing of the game includes a pack of three Battle Spirits Promo Cards which are exclusive to the Nintendo DS game. This means they won't be sold or distributed in any other capacity.
