 «©NCSX» Tama-Soft released an adult digital novel called Lost Child in 2004. In the game, players take on the role of a hero named Shouji Tokitoh who has the ability to transform into an "Amito" or superhero known as Cerberus by shouting "Conception!" That and fusing with his catalyst who's a girl named Ai whose presence allows him to change from normal scientist-man to a sleek and powerful killing machine. Lost Child was a unique digital novel in that it featured a turn-based battle system filled with action-packed sequences where Cerberus swung, swooped, slashed, and shot.

   In 2008, Hobibox/Tama-Soft location-tested a Naomi-based fighting game titled Project Cerberus which was based on Lost Child. The game features a cast of 12 characters who appear in their human forms before each bout but transform into their Amito alter-egos once the match starts. Cerberus is a 2D fighting game which looks good and plays well enough but based on our time with the Naomi version, the mechanics of the game are cookie cutter. That's not necessarily a bad thing since cookie-cutter standards are market-friendly, brings in revenue, and doesn't take unwarranted risks. By-the-book and button-down managers love that stuff. Project Cerberus gets ported over to the PSP this week in Japan.

 «©NCSX» With Capcom's Monster Hunter as popular as it is, perhaps it's surprising that a spin-off hasn't shipped to market earlier. The Airu (cats) of the Monster Hunter games are the stars in the newly released Monster Hunter Nikki Poka Pika Airu Mura PSP action-adventure which is centered around Airu Village. The versatile cats live their lives in the village where farming, hunting, mining, and cooking are daily routines. Since Airu Village is situated on an island, the bodies of water surrounding the village are ripe with fish to be fetched out of the drink. The Pugi creatures from the Monster Hunter canon also appear in the game to provide companionship and interaction.

   In the Airu Guild, adventurers may curry assignments for earnings and every contribution by the feline residents leads to expansion of the village. Guild quests can be either exploration jaunts or collection exercises where the party of Airu work towards enhancing the village. When exploring, monsters are inevitably encountered and the group of Airu attack as one cohesive unit to deal as much damage as possible within a short amount of time. Airu Village supports multi-player gaming where up to three gamers can cooperate on Guild quests. Players who have the PSP version of Monster Hunter 2nd G can convert save-data from the game for use in Airu Village. As a bit of bonus content, Hello Kitty appears in the village in the form of costumes that may be worn by the Airu. The first production of the game includes a special code which gives gamers the chance to enter a drawing to win a special Airu or Hello Kitty plush toy or a phone strap.

 «©NCSX» A young high school girl from the modern day finds herself teleported to the warring states period of Japanese history where attractive men with feminine facial features flock to her like ravenous pigeons to leftover hot dog bread. It's around the time of the Fourth Battle of Kawanakajima circa 1561 when Takeda Shingen was attacked by a massive army of 18,000 soldiers assembled by Uesugi Kenshin. Tension is in the air, danger is afoot, and the seed of love might sprout in the backdrop.

   Nise no Chigiri falls into the Otomate game genre which is targeted at girls because the objects of in-game love are attractive feather-haired boys who look like girls. By interacting with the guys and occasionally making choices, the heroine of Nise no Chigiri finds love and companionship with young men who are caught up in the war. Will the boys have time to break away from the weathering toils of conflict to find love with the heroine? Or will she make the wrong moves and not get the guy? Find out by immersing yourself in the magic of Nise no Chigiri.

 «©NCSX» The FFVII AC rendition of Cloud Strife is a tormented sort of soul. Gaze into his gloomy eyes, observe the pallid complexion, and stare at his pouty mouth which invariably turns downwards into a frown. If you issue the command, "Turn that frown upside down, girlfriend," in Cloud's direction, he won't do it. He'll just look away petulantly as a tear escapes from his left eye.
   Despite Cloud's somber inner being, he's not beyond freshening up his essence of doom with a floral and woodsy scent that evokes images of citrus fruit instead of a bubbling moat. According to the preorder details, Cloud's unisex fragrance is made of mandarin, lemon, bergamot, melon, peach, and apricot which is backed by Lily of the Valley, jasmine, rose, freesia, carnation, and cyclamen. The base of the scent is cedarwood, sandalwood, amber, musk, oak moss, and vanilla. Each nickel-plated glass bottle holds 50ml of liquid and a zinc strap is included as a bonus.

   The name recognition of the games in Twinkle Queen is pretty much non-existent in North America but the girls are somewhat attractive, can throw a punch, and up to four players can join in on the fighting action. That's good for at least 3 copies sold. Twinkle Queen is a 2D fighting game where two combatants face off in front of a static background. In addition to the default one-on-one fisticuffs, a four-player option is also available so that four combatants can engage in a battle royale as long as four Nunchuk-and-Remotes are available.. When four she-devils are fighting all at once, the screeching, yelping, and exclamations that burst from the audio speakers create a cacophony that might arouse annoyance in listeners. «G-Notes»
