Delve into a world struggling for power by controlling a customizable character from one of five available races. Available on PlayStation 2, players wishing to test their sword and sorcery in this epic fantasy game require both a PlayStation 2 network adapter and 40GB hard drive. Included with the game is the PlayOnline Viewer, which allows players access to downloads, chat rooms, and a friends list. Also included is the popular Tetra Master card game. The PlayStation 2 version is compatible with the PC version, so players have the option of which platform they’d like to use. Magic, brawn, and bravery are only some of the skills needed for success in Final Fantasy XI.

   The internal 40 GB Hard Disk Drive takes the PlayStation 2 to the next evolutionary phase! Preloaded with FFXI, this combo will utilize the Network Adapter (sold separately) to bring you the first massively multiplayer online role-playing game in the Final Fantasy series. The hard drive ushers in the ability for downloadable content, saving cds to create a personal jukebox, faster loading times and simultaneous gameplay between PC and PS2 users in the FFXI world!
