John Carpenter fans ought to
be pretty excited about the
arrival of a game whose story
comes straight from the 1982
horror classic, THE THING.
Taking place after the close of
the film's plot, the action
happens on an abandoned base in
the Antarctic. You'll play as a
member of a team that's been
sent in to investigate the
mysterious happenings detailed
in the film, and you begin to
discover very quickly that
something very deadly is afoot;
your enemy, it seems, can morph
into anything it can kill.
Loaded with tricky puzzles and
fast-paced action sequences, THE
THING arms you with flame
throwers and machine guns, and
there other awesome weapons that
can be built from parts found
around the base. Of course, your
smarts will be the most
important tool you can use in
tracking down and killing your
enemy if you can figure out what
or who your enemy is.
