RIVAL TURF OR RUSHING BEAT?
It's quite possible that you played one or
more of the Rushing Beat games in the '90s
without even realizing it! This classic 16-bit
trilogy was originally released in the West as
Rival Turf!, Brawl Brothers, and The Peace
Keepers. However, in Japan, the games have
always been known as Rushing Beat, Rushing Beat
Ran: Fukusei Toshi, and Rushing Beat Shura.
Rushing Beat X: Return of Brawl Brothers is the
long-awaited fourth entry in the series.
STAGES AND SIDE MISSIONS
Rushing Beat X: Return of Brawl Brothers
consists of nine thrilling stages. You'll brawl
through shopping malls, slums, subways, and
laboratories, each packed with enemies eager to
take you down. But that's not all; the adventure
is also packed with exciting side missions to
keep you on your toes. As you progress through
the story, unlock more playable characters to
master. Plus, Rushing Beat X supports epic
two-player co-op, so grab a friend and double
the fun!
Are you taking on the challenge solo or teaming
up with a partner to clean up the streets?
Either way, get ready for the fight of your
life!
STRATEGIC BRAWLING
With easy-to-control auto combos, even beginners
can enjoy the exhilarating action! Create your
own combos with counterattacks, follow-up
attacks, and attacks using weapons you have
picked up along the way. Dashing or jumping will
cancel most actions, adding a layer of strategy
to your brawls. Depending on the directional
input, you can also perform different throws,
and by throwing enemies at each other you'll
knock them out of the way. Furthermore, if you
throw them into the background, you can destroy
objects that are normally out of reach. It's a
great chance to obtain items!
THE RAGE GAUGE
The classic Rage Gauge rises as you land
attacks or endure them. When the gauge reaches
MAX, the player enters Rage Burst. In addition
to increased offensive and defensive abilities,
the decisive move 'Beat Rush' can also be
activated. It's a power rush like nothing else.
Use your righteous anger to defeat evil!
FOOD
At the Tuff E Nuff food truck, which also
serves as a checkpoint during stages, you can
combine various food items. Creating combo meals
with three types of food increases healing
potential and may even grant special effects.
Whether you're attacking or eating, combos are
the way to go! You don’t need to eat the food
right away either. You can take it with you so
you’ll always have a nourishing meal in your
back pocket, ready to give you an extra energy
boost when you need it.
A NEW BEGINNING
The previous English localizations from the
90s did not follow the story from the original
Japanese trilogy. This time, Rushing Beat Ran:
Fukusei Toshi and Rushing Beat Shura are woven
together into a single coherent tale. Return of
Brawl Brothers sees six playable characters –
including veterans Rick Norton and Douglas Bild
– take to the mean streets of Neo-Cisco as they
battle to uncover the secrets of the odious
Zeekus virus. Can they discover the true
mastermind behind it all? The answer awaits you
in Rushing Beat X: Return of Brawl Brothers!
Strike! Fly! Toss! Create your own combo!
There are many ways to attack, including an
upper that launches enemies, a counter to return
your opponent's attacks, throws, aerial combos,
weapons, and pursuits. Furthermore, if you hold
the attack button on the hit, you can activate
an auto combo, which automatically activates a
continuous action. Easy operation for even
beginners to action can enjoy. Of course, if you
are used to it, you can also use it as a custom
combo. Use 6 fighters with different
