Blue Breaker

This game marks a continuing trend in the PC-FX software market where the focus is turning from interactive movie adventure games to the more traditional 'Squaresoft inspired' adventure games. This type of adventure game is common in all other platforms and you can recognize them by the overhead view of a squat group of characters that walk around in green hillsides in search of treasure. When it comes time to fight, the view will change into a side view of the battle where your characters are on one side of the screen and the enemy is on the other side. You then choose to attack, defend or use magic to try to defeat the enemy. Blue Breaker features excellent graphics and looks very Square-ish. There are character interaction scenes in the game as well where you converse with oher characters and attempt to get clues and information from them.
