Weekly, this week, checks out the progress of Saga
Frontier with photos of some stunning looking locales and
craft designs. Sequence shots also show off character
attacks as they wield magic, thrust, and parry. A Bushido
Blade feature covers attack combos and defensive moves
along with pictures of the different areas that you will
engage and fight your pursuers in. For the current Final
Fantasy IV re-release, a long article talks to it's
creators at Square. Its a slap in the face, that with the
seeming abandonment of Nintendo, Square takes one of the
most treasured and revered Final Fantasy games on a
Nintendo machine (SFC) and transplants it on the
Playstation. A quick browse through the rest of the
magazine ferrets out the following: Gowkaizer, a Neo-Geo
fighting game will make it to the Playstation sometime in
the next 2 weeks and Umihara Kawase (released already) is
excellent and easily surpasses the SFC version. Umihara is
a platform game where you control a little stout girl who can
climb, duck, and throw out a grappling hook that she can use
to grab enemy goldfish that are conspicuouly out of their natural
element and walking about. The grappling hook can also be used to
latch onto walls and platforms to swing to other platforms. The grappling
hook can also be used to perform other tricks that you will learn about
through animations that play before each level. Therein
lies the beauty of the game and the great playability it offers.
Umihara is currently sold out but NCS should have restock in the next
two ot three weeks. |
