A lead article in the current issue of Famitsu looks
at the used game market in Japan and how it has grown
with the popularity of the CD-Rom. At times, retailers
are able to make more on selling used games than new
games. I know that this is true for many of our resellers
in New York City and in Los Angeles, as well as
for dealers in other cities. Its a mixture of offering
low prices for buying back games and quick turn around.
We recommend this practice for most of our accounts and
find that it has kept some companies in business.
