A lead article in the current issue of Famitsu looks at the used game market in Japan and how it has grown with the popularity of the CD-Rom. At times, retailers are able to make more on selling used games than new games. I know that this is true for many of our resellers in New York City and in Los Angeles, as well as for dealers in other cities. Its a mixture of offering low prices for buying back games and quick turn around. We recommend this practice for most of our accounts and find that it has kept some companies in business. In other news, Konami's Tokimeki Memorial goes to the arcade with an interactive video game where you can print out 'snapshots of the girls. Flipping over to the review crew, we see that BomberMan V for the SFC gets a 6.75, Sega Ages Memorial Selection rates a 5.5, Digital Mission VF-X garners a respectable 6.5 and Namco Museum Vol. 5 gets a 6.75. For your reference, the two top rated games this week were Sangoku Musou and Magical Hoppers, both taking home a 7.75. In arcade news, Hang Pilot gets a look with some good looking screenshots.
