The first Gundam Gaiden was very well received. It featured great gameplay and good graphics that got somewhat rough when the robots got close together for battle. This did not in any way take away from the quality of the game because when you're fighting for your life against an aggressive opposing mech, you'll be concentrating more on dismantling the other robot than noticing the character pixellization. The second Gaiden continues where the first one left off and its missions are just as involved as the earlier ones. Gaiden is a lot of fun but it does have one flaw. The overall game is short and can be completed in about 5-6 hours if you hack away at it. The professional Gundam driver can blow by the entire mission campaign in about 4 hours if you get down to it. Its short but never has mech fighting and action been sweeter. Gundam Gaiden puts the Playstation versions of 3-D Gundam v1.0 and Gundam v2.0 to shame.
