Not many French software titles have made it into Japanese shores. For that matter, not many American software titles have cracked the Japanese console market either. Those that have seen a Japanese release have not done major numbers. Perhaps we can attribute this to the different tastes of the gaming public in different countries though Japanese action titles are seemingly popular everywhere. Really, everywhere. Lulu is something of a surprise in that it even got released in Japan. It is not something that will sell many units but it is charming and well done. Le Livre de Lulu, which translates into The Book of Lulu is a point and click interactive 'movie' with spot animations, voice acting and character interaction. An example of a spot animation would be a butterfly which flutters on one of the pages in the storybook when you click on it. The story centers on Lulu, a princess who lives in the obligatory multi-storied castle with all the trappings. One day Lulu encounters Nemo, a robot who goes into Lulu's kingdom by mistake. They get acquainted and Lulu decides to take Nemo out into the kingdom to find warmth for Nemo, which as we all know, robots cannot and could not have. We're all about to be proven wrong as this interactive disc takes us on a little journey of discovery and friendship.
