| Melty Lancer is a strategy/character interaction simulation where you are the leader of six Green Lancers. The Green Lancers are a group of young women who are trained in the art of stopping alien crime. Crime that is commited by the kind of aliens that hail from outer space. The Lancers are also an attractive group in an anime sort of way. Your job is to control the Lancers and help them foil the devious and insidious machinations of the alien mobsters. The game is broken up into missions where you engage in character interaction with members of your party and with members of society. This part of the game is played very much like a dating simulation where you meet someone and then ask him or her various questions to obtain clues and help so that you can proceed further. Different people will react differently to you so take this in account when you approach someone. The battles in the game are set up in an RPG side-view style where your party is arrayed against enemy combatants. You take turns in attacking, defending and using your special attacks on your adversaries. Your eventual goal is to level the criminal empire's power base and destroy their syndicate. All of the missions will lead up to this end game. Tenky hired seventeen popular voice actors to provide the emotion and their considerable vocal talents to this project. NCS is only stocking the deluxe edition package of this game which includes a character information booklet, a stack of character postcards, a 12 disc CD holder that is labeled 'Melty Lancer' and the game disc itself. The deluxe case is not as big as the Tokimeki Memorial limited case but the entire package is a hefty 2 lbs. |  |
