Its always interesting to check out a new strategy game and see how its play mechanics and features stack up against whats come out in the market already. When I first played Dune on the PC, I thought it was one of the better Warcraft variants out there. The great thing about Dune was the high technology that was available to you both offensively and defensively. Milky Way Heroes Legends goes beyond terra firma and sets itself in outer space where you command fleets of space ships and do research on improving your technology level so that you can build better, faster, greater ships. Animation sequences help to move the game along and give the player a sense of drama as you move from different theatres of conflict and scenarios. The character development is well done and you'll come to care about some of the integral characters in the game as you progress. This game was heavily pre-ordered but NCS still has a small quantity available. Restock for Milky Way is not due until the beginning of January '97.
