First Quarter 2001

Tiers

The complete import schedules for the three major import consoles have been posted this morning. Some dates may change and additional products might be added over the next couple of weeks. A notable change is the bump back of GT-3 to February 15. NCS will post revisions when they are announced by the various publishers. The Nintendo 64, Gameboy Color, and Wonderswan Color listings will be updated over the next week.

Inside Out

Console Notable 1Q 2001 Releases
Dreamcast Fighting Vipers 2, Fire Pro Wrestling D, Macross M3
Playstation Metal Slug X, Time Bokan GoGoGo, Eithea
Playstation 2 Bloody Roar 3, Onimusha Warlords, Zone of Enders
Among the three gaming consoles paid heed today, pecking order in terms of software development and support probably places the PS2 at the top. The talented Sega teams follow close behind. The best days of the PS1 are behind it but the Playstation's place in history is assured and confident. It's the little grey juggernaut that took over the world and spawned a successor to boot.
Wonderswan Color Update

Introspection

A trifling quantity of the Wonderswan Color Limited Edition is slated for next week, along with ample supplies of the heretofore elusive Wonder Swan Color units by themselves. Pricing remains at US$138 for the LE while the standard units are priced at US$89. A selection of software, including the new WSC Gundam game, will also land by next week. Customers will be contacted today concerning pre-orders and whether or not their interest remains. New pre-orders are welcome for the standard handheld.    Wonderswan Color supplies were spotty in previous weeks and NCS figured this handheld would be botched up. Now, with the GB Advance looming, WSC quantities begin showing up and scarcity is replaced by flooding.
PS2 RGB Converter Cable

Text

PS2 RGB Cable, Powered by USB port

A sample of a new  RGB signal to NTSC video conversion cable was received by NCS late last week from an Asian trading partner. The cable removes Macrovision code which allows the transfer of DVD video to VHS for duplication. The sample was received unsolicited and NCS will not offer the cable for sale but there may be a market for this through other channels.

Hiatus Over 2

Locomotion

A variety of restock titles were confirmed overnight for delivery either later this week or early next. PS2 Bouncer, Dead or Alive 2 Hardcore, Mobile Suit Gundam, Seven Blades, and Winback are on the way whilst DC Blue Submarine No. 6, Moero! Justice Gakuen, Napple Tale, and Samba 2000 are being sent tonight. For next week, or thereabouts, PS Genso Suikogaiden Vol. 1, DBZ Legends, etc and Fire Pro Wrestling G should make it in after a long delay.     The nets have been cast again and we'll trawl the waters for stock and other interesting items. Offers usually start rolling in around this time as well when companies start moving out their holiday stock. Sort of like sales at the distribution level.
