DC Sentimental Graffiti 2
NEC will offer a Limited Edition of SG2 that includes a premium disc entitled Sentimental Graffiti 3rd Window. This LE version will ship along with the regular edition on March 23. DC Mod Chip
NCS expects to begin shipping mod chip kits next week. Our company will provide a complete kit and our detailed wiring instructions and custom schematics on how to perform the mod. We can offer a technical schematic for professionals or a simplified diagram for laymen. As mentioned in an earlier update, the work is not too difficult but we must stress that you should not undertake the mod if you are unfamiliar with soldering small points on the DC bios IC. This is IC501 on the DC pcboard which is directly to the left of the GD-Rom I/O port. The biggest problem that we see for any job is the possibility that the customer will join two pins of the IC together with a solder blob. Have a desoldering braid handy if this happens. We will make some recommendations in our kit instructions to help you avoid such problems. It wouldn't be good for the mod movement if hundreds of customers rendered their DC consoles into doorstops or plain old music CD players. NCS will not be able to accept too many DCs for mod installation next week due to our company moving to new premises but we'll lay out our schedule next week.
