Sengoku Turb in stock |
|
NEC's new 3-D action-adventure is now in stock for the Dreamcast. Sengoku Turb is presented in episodes with the first mission
called "Visitor". Your character, a blonde haired girl, lands on a planet of
munchkin inhabitants which begins your adventure. Episode 4 is named "Song 4 Music
Sound of" which features dancing, tunes and weird scenery which includes trees in the
shape of ice cream cones. The game looks surreal, with a dream-like quality about the
visuals and the animation. Time permitting, NCS will post a review of this game tomorrow. |

March 1999 Schedule |
| NCS will post the confirmed SONYPS import schedule for March 1999
in it's entirety tomorrow. Looking through the games, there are some interesting ones that
we think will do well. Macross: Do You Remember Love features shooting
action with the famous morphing mecha. Pre-orders will include a premium collector's card.
The package will also ship with a preview CD for Macross VF-X2. Pepsiman is
a side scrolling action game from "soft-hentai" publisher Kid. Final
Fantasy Collection will ship in a regular edition and a special edition. This
collection compiles FF IV, V, and VI in a special package. The special edition includes an
original FF clock by Citizen. Chocobo Racing puts the yellow feathered
bird of Final Fantasy fame in a Sonic Racing type action game. Pre-orders are welcome but
please wait for the full listing that will be posted tomorrow. |

Equilibrium |
| Keyword in the yen-dollar situation is stability, which has been
rare recently. The damage has been done however as all prices from exporters are now 13%
higher than what they were before 1999. |

| Keychains |
|
Our shipment of Pokemon keychains will finally arrive tomorrow after extensive and
stupefying delays. All orders will see dispatch tomorrow. The Dreamcast
keychains are another matter - they have not even been manufactured yet, contrary to what
we were originally told, but the production should be completed by the end of this week.
Please await further details as we receive them. |

Markets |

Globex futures hit lock-limit down this morning. This is rare and we have only seen
it one other time in the worst of last year's market sell-off in August. Lock-limit
happens when there is such a ponderous amount of futures selling that the CME halts
trading when the downside limits are hit. In the case of the S&P 500, the limit is
-27.00 and for the Nasdaq, the limit is triggered at -42.00. The cause? Brazil's overnight
devaluation of the reais and the implications that this holds for the rest of the region
and for the global markets overall. |
