| DC Super Street Fighter 2X for
Matching Service |
Scans |
| This
is what makes a legend most. Street Fighter enjoys consistent success,
year after year, despite challenges from leagues of clones and
derivatives. Time is also a savage enemy which degrades interest and
plots new venues for the collective to enjoy. It would be safe to say that Street
Fighter has reached a level where it is ingrained into the popular
culture and any future iterations will be sought after and
appreciated. Barbie enjoys this level of success in the States. In
Japan, Doraemon rules. Street Fighter is an annual event now and the DC reprises the SSF2X game, originally from
1994, in a souped up internet capable version. Online challengers may
now pit themselves against a sea of wired fighters and bout it out to
determine who's the greatest. |

Special Orders Welcome |
Hardware |
|
A variety of D-Direct games are
being offered to NCS at half of the usual minimum quantity ordering
requirements. As such, we are able to accept special orders for any
previous D-Direct games that are available in the Japanese market. If
you are looking for Jojo's Bizarre Adventure for Matching Service,
Jet Set Radio Deluxe, Nettou Golf or Nettou Tennis,
please let us know and we'll
bring them in. |
Our
next project is to try and bring in some of the DC VMU and joypad
variants that are now only being offered on the D-Direct online
service. Feedback on desired products is welcome.

Update |
March Bemani |
DC Giga Wing 2 is now slated for Friday. PS Derby Jockey 2001
and Fuulaiki are also expected tomorrow morning. Restock
shipments that arrived today include Napple Tale, Moero! Justice
Schools, Sin & Punishment and Phantasy Star Online.
Some of these titles may have sold out this morning to pending
pre-orders but everything else will be updated online for new
orders.
If we're not given the run-around again tonight by
couriers, we should receive all of our expected new stock and restock
items by Friday. This week was unkind in terms of timely overseas
delivery. |
Konami added one new title to the PS2
March schedule. Naturally, it a Bemani game titled Beatmania Dadada!
which is packed with a USB keyboard to help teach typing skills by way
of rhythm. Scheduled to ship on March 29, the list price is
Y8800.

@ NCS |
|
NCS is maintaining a
contact list for Gameboy Advance pre-orders. This means a
customer may contact NCS
with the message header "GBA Preorder" and we will add you
to our mailing list and keep you abreast of news on the handheld as
well as possible reservations. Due to the unknown initial allocation
of the GBA at this time, NCS is unable to guarantee pre-orders for the
launch week but the contact list that we are maintaining will
keep everyone updated on availability of the unit as well as software
titles. If you have inquired about the GBA already, you are
automatically added to this list.
As mentioned earlier this week, GBA supplies during the
week of March 21 will be scarce but units inevitably show up during
the weeks that follow. It's a tried and true routine witnessed during
the launch of the Pocket Gameboy, the Gameboy Color, and on major
first party Gameboy products. Even the Gameboy Pocket Camera and
Printer enjoyed a period of rarity and exclusivity. Now they sit in
Japanese sales bins at fractions of their original value. So, the
lesson for today is, if the sales tactic works, don't fix it.
