Today's Date

We will update the page intra-day if we receive the stock but it's getting late in the morning and the UPS cargo flight has not arrived at JFK yet. The rain is not coming down that hard in New York so we'll wait and see what happens. As we mentioned yesterday, the other Saturn titles in the package are: Farland Saga, GunBlaze Z and Noon. We did get a delayed magazine shipment today and all subscriptions to Saturn Fan and Playstation Magazine will be shipped out this morning. Magazine photos will be posted next week.     We will have a limited supply of Neo-CDZ consoles coming in next week but because we are still not sure how many will arrive, our company will contact customers who have placed reservations for the unit and confirm once we have the stock available.
Our Sega Saturn hardware page will finally be up and running over the weekend. The page will list all of the consoles, accessories and services that we offer for the Sega Saturn. An overall design change in the format of the site will also be implemented over the next few weeks but there is a reason why we are reluctant in changing over to the slick new interface and design. We like the fact that What's New and the journal entries are full screen and unfettered by side navigation bars or other elements that cramp the page. One of our site programmers suggested a "floating" navigation bar that can be moved and manipulated by the client's browser but we'll make final decisions in the coming weeks.
We have a bit of an update on the elusive Saturn Basic package from Bits Laboratory. We originally tried to order these sets last year and have been waiting for confirmation ever since. There appears to be strict export restrictions from Sega on all of their distributors for Saturn Basic. We cannot get the set in bulk but we will now try to hand carry roughly 25 sets for our customers who have placed reservations for the Basic package. Saturn Basic gives Sega programming power to the masses and gives regular users the ability to design their own games and demos with sophisticated tools and modeling environments. Expected retail for the complete Basic set is US$149.
We are expecting a special Japanese Saturn console package next week. We have not confirmed the full details of the set but we'll have more information when we receive the shipment manifest later today. The new console set includes a package of three recent games bundled with the console at a lower price. Packages with plain console and modified console sets will posted and priced next Monday.
