Neo-Geo Freak US$10 I    Our magazine shipments have been ramped up and we will now take delivery of two shipments every week. This skews our posting schedule of the magazine covers but we'll see what happens in the next couple of weeks and figure out how we'll handle subscriptions. The latest Neo-Geo Freak takes a look at The King of Fighters Kyo, which has only been announced for the Sony Playstation. Kyo is an interactive adventure where you'll meet and speak to various  characters from the KoF license. The magazine also notes eventual availability of Shock Troopers for the Neo-Geo cartridge and CD. No date is listed and when we checked with SNK's distributor in Japan a couple of weeks ago, nothing had been announced but we'll keep on top of the situation with that game. The other magazines that are available today: Sega Saturn Magazine Vol. 3, three weeks worth of Famitsu, T.V. Gamer, Weekly Playstation, Famitsu Brothers and a large assortment of special art books and fan books. We'll post more information and pictures on next week's page. The new Saturn Fan and the new Playstation Magazine will arrive next Monday. We are unsure if these two magazines will follow a weekly schedule now since we just got the most recent issues this past Monday. We'll have more information next week.

We'll take delivery of our first arcade JAMMA of Marvel vs Capcom next week. We can offer these boards (Japanese versions) at USD2800 for a new board kit with marquee, side panel art, operator's manual and any necessary cabling.  When one chooses to fight with Strider Hiryu, he'll glide into the battle on his metal hang glider, just like he starts his 80s arcade game. One can also choose to fight with Rockman, Morrigan from Vampire Hunter, the Hulk, Wolverine, Ryu, Chun Li...you know, the usual popular suspects. I MVC: Venom vs Spidey

MVC: Team Battle I   Here we have a battle royale between a colorful group of characters that  include Thor the Thunder God and Colossus of X-Men fame. The gameplay is similar to X-Men vs Street Fighter with special partners that you can call on to help in the fighting. We're also trying to get a Fighting Vipers 2 Jamma that we hope to receive within the next month. Our vendors haven't confirmed it's availability yet but we're waiting for confirmation.

Winter Heat for the Saturn sold exceptionally well and we will have restock next Monday. One can suppose that the excitement of the Nagano Olympics has spilled over onto the home video game market. Winter Heat is currently priced at USD49. We have no definite date for the USA version but we expected it this week to no avail. I Winter Heat Logo

Another restock shipment will be available early next week. In this package, we're expecting: SONYPS Critical Blow, Densha De Go!, Final Fantasy VII International, Ganbare Goemon (Best Series), Hazime No Ippo, Kowloon's Gate, Minna No Golf and Option Tuning Battle. On the SATURN, we are expecting: Arcana Strikes, Cross Romance, Funky Head Boxers, Gaia Breeder, Texthoth Ludo and X-Men vs Street Fighter. I    The domestic scene looks quiet next week. We're looking at N64 Jeopardy on Tuesday and SONYPS Gex: Enter the Gecko on Thursday. The import scene won't be much busier with only SATURN 3 Wonders expected thus far.
Even though today is Friday the 13th, we're working, albeit cautiously. We bid everyone a fine (for some, a 3 day) weekend. We'll meet again next Monday.
