| The payment breakdown is as follows: US$15
for the magazine and US$3.20 for shipping with Priority
Mail service in the United States. European customers may submit payment for US$23.00
which breaks down to US$15 for the magazine and US$8
for shipping with Global Priority Mail. NCS wishes to dispatch all of the magazines on the
same day so that everyone receives it at approximately the same time. |

| Importance
of Equity |
|
Although NCS does not currently hold long term equity positions in the capital markets, we
recognize the importance for building this type of capital base. Our plays are all
speculative but we'll build actual stock positions one of these days. We consider actual
stock to be important because there is much that can be done with it. For example, when we
held 1000 shares of CMGI in 1998 at $77 we would write covered calls against our position
for roughly $8000 per month. We'd then use the proceeds to completely protect the position
by buying puts that were -15 to -20 points out of the money. Then, we'd buy calls that
were +15 to +20 points out of the money. This way, if the stock went down, we'd profit but
if the stock went up, we'd stil profit. The market provides all the tools for an investor
to protect himself but still participate in any up moves in his or her stock. |

| We
got our rally on Friday but it completely fizzled and died in the water. It's not
encouraging to see the type of action that we've seen this past week and we will likely
add to our short positions on further strength in the coming week. NCS has changed nothing
in our positions, maintaining all shorts and keeping the SPH longs as the hedge. The bias
in the market is now to sell into any strength to take advantage of market moves and exit
positions. Buying dips is lethal in this environment because the volatility will whipsaw
smaller players and knock momentum players for a loop. The action in the nets was
unconvinving but it was necessary to shake out short players who have heaped up on their
short positions in these stocks. Put premiums also needed to be whittled down after the
heavy declines we saw in the past couple of weeks. |
