The American PC game Warcraft inspired a wave of mimicry and spawned mighty sons which included Starcraft and Dark Reign. Japan's Smilebit weighs in with it's own interpretation of the real time strategy game in Hundred Swords. Resource management aside, HS delivers a brisk and beautifully rendered tactical engagement.
   The fantasy world in Hundred Swords is parceled into four kingdoms, led by four hierarchs: King Naraval, Queen Gran, General Ruplustorie, and Prince Mascar.  To expand spheres of influence and maintain sovereignty, each must attack the other in bids for supremacy. When two tribes meet on the battlefield, war erupts, laced with incendiary attacks which rain from the sky and explosive effects. The resource management portion of the game relies on staking claims to high yield territories and using the resources to keep your armies high in numbers and well equipped.
