 DC Hundred Swords

Scans

The American PC game Warcraft inspired a wave of mimicry and spawned mighty sons which included Starcraft and Dark Reign. Japan's Smilebit weighs in with it's own interpretation of the real time strategy game in Hundred Swords. Resource management aside, HS delivers a brisk and beautifully rendered tactical engagement.
The fantasy world in Hundred Swords is parceled into four kingdoms, led by four hierarchs: King Nalaval, Queen Gran, General Ruplustorie, and Prince Mascar.  To expand spheres of influence and maintain sovereignty, each must attack the other in bids for supremacy. When two tribes meet on the battlefield, war erupts, laced with incendiary attacks which rain from the sky and explosive effects. Larger numbers will usually win any battle but well armed small armies have the potential of beating back ill equipped masses. The resource management portion of the game relies on staking claims to high yield territories and using the resources to keep your armies high in numbers and well equipped. Forces without fresh troops inevitably lead to failure. For real.

As mentioned last week, distribution for Sega products have changed and things are being worked out at the moment with new suppliers for anything Sega related. We hope to finalize arrangements this week and our shipments should follow the usual timetables and delivery schedules upon conclusion of these affairs. The supply shifts ignited last week affect the Dreamcast, D-Direct, Gameboy Advance, and PS2 products currently in the channel or expected in the future. Import Dreamcast hardware restock should arrive on schedule (March 01) and without interruption.

Deep blue Sega Dreamcast and Playstation replacement shells have been restocked this morning. New photos of both products, encasing their respective consoles will be updated tomorrow morning. Pricing is set at US$29 per unit and all pre-orders, new orders are shipping today.
